For example, if I did a CS at Tusker House at 12:00, where I had only the Entree, could I then get my dessert there at 2 p.m. ?(when I'd certainly enjoy it more)
Hope this questions isn't too dumb.

The credits are meant to order an entire meal. They are not split into appetizer, entree and dessert credits.

Best you could do is use "to-go" packaging for your dessert and carry it with you.

Thank you! Not sure how well that would work for the ice cream though! LOL!

In October I was allowed to get a bottled water in lieu of dessert at CHH. When I was ready for dessert, I used a snack credit later in the day. Most CS desserts are of the chocolate cake/brownie variety now. Not sure if Tusker House offers ice cream...

There was one time I was allowed to do this. We stayed at All Star Movies and we had dinner at the food court on our AK day. My children wanted ice cream for dessert but it didn't make much sense to get an ice cream cone at the same time as our dinner so I asked a CM if there was any way to come back for the ice cream. He said yes, in fact that is what you are supposed to do. When we paid he stamped my receipt with 3 smiley face stamps and rang in the size of the ice creams. We could come back anytime before closing that night with the receipt and they would tear off the smiley stamps. It worked out great, we ate dinner then went back to the room for baths etc and ended our night with a special treat. I am soo glad I asked!

Generally, the answer is "yes" -- you do have to get the whole meal at one time.

Each eatery could perhaps consider offering a way of "coming back" for a dessert item, through a mechanism of their own choosing. A few have in the past. There isn't enough information available to have established any pattern, no indication whether the practice has increased or decreased in incidence, and no way to know whehter or not anything that has changed recently might affect the ability for each eatery to consider making such an offer. So while it might be something to ask about at each eatery where you would like to do that, make you plans based on an assumption of not being able to do so.
