I know I do, one day my plants are doing fine next day they are being devoured by some insect. The early spring is the worst time before the natural perdators arrive (dragonflies, ladybugs, praying mantis, toads, birds) These are wonderful critters that help control pest. Until they arrive there are some biological controls that we can use and know they are not toxic. The Audubon has a few ideas that may help.
