Yes we do and it's horrible. Unfortunately our apartment isn't set up to have a water softener so I'm looking forward to eventually moving someplace where we can have one.

we live on well water and it beyond hard. We had to get buy a softener system and an extra purifier for sulfur (makes the water smell like rotten eggs, yumm). Be prepared because they are pricey. I think our system was about $4000.

Yes, we do have hard water right now. Our old water softener finally quit working, and we mentioned to our furnace man, who is also a plumber, that we'd like to get a new one. He took a sample of our water for testing, but this was back in March and we still haven't heard anything and he hasn't come back to put in a new water softener for us. So, we'll probably end up calling Culligan instead and just have them do it.

Yes, we have hard water-all those limestone deposits around here. We have had a water softener for over 20 years now.

Yes, we have city well water and it is awful. A few of our neighbors have a water softener but apparently the softener uses much more water and they have much higher water bills. We already pay around $300 per quarter for water without a softener. A neighbor down the street from me, who has one less person in her family than we do, paid $475 last quarter due to her softener. That is just the water increase. Not sure I want to go there.

Yep, us in AZ have incredibly hard water. Mine tested at 14 grains. Watersoftners are required

Yes, in NH in the mountains it is very hard. Always been that way. We just live with it.

ETA: Even in the summer it is very cold and delicious when it comes out of the faucet. We miss it here in FL.

Yes and I hate it. We have a water softener but question how good it is. It's the type that needs ginormous bags of salt and it's a huge PITA. We have well water, so it's common for it to be hard.
