Do You Have A TV In Your Bedroom?

DH has one in his bedroom. I used to have one in mine, but I could only watch movies since it wasn't hooked up to DirecTV and I almost never did watch any so we put that TV in our guest camper up north. DH has his on a timer and falls to sleep with it on almost every night.

I don't see how having a TV in your bedroom can ruin any part of a marriage. Only if you allow it to I guess. :confused3

I don't think anyone said it would ruin a marraige:confused3 just that some of us prefer not to have that type of distraction in the bedroom. I wouldn't want to sleep in separate bedrooms either (and then I guess it is a moot point about the TV distracting you from paying attention to one another)--it is bad enough i have to sleep alone mot weeks Monday-Thursday while DH travels for business, but it obviously works for you so more power to you.

Yes, we do, but it really only gets used in the mornings while getting ready for work so I can see the weather and traffic. It almost never gets turned on during any other time of the day.

No TV in our bedroom.

I haven't had a TV in my bedroom since I was stuck in a drom room in college. I'm one of those people who needs silence to fall asleep at night.

never have, never will - the only time I had a tv in my bedroom is when I was home sick from school when I was little and my mom would bring in the small tv that we had in the kitchen and put it at the foot of my bed so I didn't have to get up and go to the family room. :goodvibes Ah memories.

TV rots your brain and lowers your IQ

Bull. Why, just the past few weeks I've learned all about sister wives!

We are TV junkies, love it. Right now there are 6 TVs in our house and only 3 people. Ok, DD's TV isn't hooked up to cable, just for watching movies. We have a huge bedroom "suite" as well with sinks in it and spend most of our time in our room. We have a formal living room with no TV, it's our "reading room" lol, and also a family room in the basement, but it's so COLD down there especially in the winter, so we just pile on our king size bed to watch tv. I'd say our marriage is just darn tootin' fine!

You go Girl!!!

We do have an old 13" tube TV in our bedroom. The only time we use it is sometimes in the morning for the news, if someone is sick and wants to watch TV, or if dh uses it to watch a game and the living room tv is being used by the kids at gametime. It doesn't get used often.

Our main, and only other TV, is in the living room and is the one we use 98% of the time.

We have a TV in our bedroom. DH would rather we didn't, but he would also like for us to sleep in a twin size bed (keep in mind he's 6'5").

Yes I do. However I'm 23 years old, finishing college, and moved back home. My room is my sanctuary here. It's where I can escape my brother and my mom. I also can't fall asleep without it. I think I got a TV in my room when I was around 11, and have always had one since. My boyfriend rarely watches TV, but he's able to fall asleep with the TV on for me, so no trouble there.

We watch Hulu and Netflix on our computer in our bedroom, but we don't have a TV. There is a TV in DS's room, but it is not hooked up to our satellite (only to a DVD player and a GameCube). Our only TV that actually gets TV channels is in the living room.

Absolutely have a tv in our room. It's great for when we don't feel well, and it also helps put us to sleep at night. I put absolutely zero stock in it ruining someone's marriage.

I also watch the news while I'm getting ready in the morning.

Tv in the bedroom...never thought it caused a problem. I like to watch tv when I get ready in the morning. It comes in handy when someone is sick.

My parents have been married 55 years with a tv in their bedroom. It hasn't caused any problems for them.:confused3

Nope. We have one TV in the house and don't turn it on very often. We have absolutely no interest in having one in our bedroom.

TV rots your brain and lowers your IQ. ;)

There are some stupid shows out there, for sure. There are also some stupid books out there. Do all books also rot your brain and lower your IQ? ;)

Absolutely not!

Our bedroom is a sanctuary with a fabulous bed, great linens, silk coverlet etc. It is a place for sleep and love.

Would never have a tv in the bedroom.
