we're getting ready to go on our 5th disney cruise and still have never gotten a passport. We will be required to have them soon though.

No.. Have absolutely no desire to leave this country - even for a visit - and not sure of any other reason I would need one..:confused3

yes.. we have passports... we use them once mayyyyyyyybe twice a year if we are lucky...:guilty:

Not yet, it's on my list of things to do. I should have done it this week while I was home, but completely forgot about it.

I have to go to the town hall and get a long copy of my daughter's birth certificate so she can get one too. All I have is the short 3x5 card the town hall gave me when she was born. That's been sufficient for everything we've needed until now.

Why wouldn't you want to visit another country? :confused3

Why wouldn't you want to visit another country? :confused3

Because I have everything right here that I need. Thats the only reason why. Now yes a cruise would and has put me in others . I have also done a few trips to Canada and 1 to Mexico but thats it.

This is no way a Disrespect or anything like that but travel time is just that and not time to be enjoying ourselves.

DH and I have passports as of a year ago for our DCL Magic cruise almost one year ago. As it ended up we did not need them but glad we have them.:thumbsup2

I am on my second passport. I need to get my kids one.

I have also heard they extended the date that you need a passport for carribean countries and possibly canada and mexico til 2008. I read it somewhere.

Because I love this country - there's so much to see (more than I'll ever be able to see, probably) - and I prefer to spend my money here..

I'll buy that...don't understand it because there are so many beautiful places outside the U.S. that I am dying to see, but I'm a firm believer in "you do what you want and I'll do what I want"! :thumbsup2

Of course we do!

DD (who was 2 when she got hers) is crying in her picture. :lmao: The poor girl who took her pic kept trying to get her head in the right spot on the camera and had to take it over and over.

Of course I have a passport! :cool2:
If I didn't I'd never be able to go to WDW!! I think pretty much everyone in the UK has a passport... apart from the Queen. Apparently she doesn't need one, or at least that's what I read on Wikipedia.

So I'm guessing you don't go on holiday to enjoy yourself..?:confused3 I really don't understand.

Yep, I've had one since the late 80's when I went to England. We use the mostly for cruising now, but nice to know we have them if we ever want to go someplace that needs it.

DH and I both have one. DS' expired now (only god for 3 years due to his age) so he needs a new one. The only place we ever got trouble was Boston. Canadian law says that children's passports (if they are under 5) should be signed by the parents. Apparently US law is different and the Customs guy at Logan didnt believe us.

No trouble last trip but we flew within the US. Always good to have just for ID if you're from "out of town".

We are expats, living in the middle east, so we have them. I got my first one when I was about 28, DS was 10 months old, that was great fun taking that photo. DH just applied for his third. I love seeing the world. I also love seeing the USA. We have 9 states left to visit to complete all 50. Looking forward to vacationing as much as possible in this short life!
