Our first day traditions usually start the night before.
The night before, we set all the bags right near the door. We drop our dogs off wheresoever they may be staying. On the way home, we grab dinner at McDonald's. When we get home, we eat (obviously!

) and then we go through our packing lists again just to make sure we've got everything packed. We get into bed, turn on Peter Pan - and fall asleep usually before the Darling kids make it to Neverland.
The next morning, I'm usually up at about 4ish. I go BACK to McDonald's for breakfast. (I do enjoy fast food - but I don't eat it ALL year, so I enjoy it as part of my Disney trips) My wife usually gets ready while I'm off getting the food. I get back, we eat, and then load up the car with the bags. We then head over to wherever we'll be leaving our car (my parent's house or my in-laws house) and they take us to the airport.
Once we get there, we check in, get lunch at McDonald's (I KNOW ALREADY! See what I said about this last time!

) and head to a park. Usually we start with Universal - but there is no definite as to which park we visit. We stay for about 3 or so hours. We come back to the room and rest. We take a nap, take a shower, and get dressed. We then ALWAYS head over to Epcot for dinner at Marrakesh, a stroll around the World Showcase Lagoon and stake out an Illuminations spot. We watch Illuminations, and head back to the resort for bed.
That's the way it's been for every trip for the past 5 years!

It'll be interesting to see how the routine switches up for our next trip.
A.) We have a kid now!
B.) EVERYONE is coming, so we have no place to leave the dogs, and our transportation to the airport is now coming WITH US!
C.) It's a Grand Gathering. 8 adults, 3 kids - two of which will be JUST entering the toddler phase.
Send me some pixie dust! LOL!
