Yesterday dh, ds, dd, and I went to see "Jonah" at the dollar theater. (Actually, I think that it cost 50 cents). It was the first time that my kids had ever been to the movies. I was really glad that we have that movie theater because we missed seeing that movie when it first came out. Do you have a place that you can see movies at a discount rate?

We have one near us. I always forget about it though since I don't go to many movies. I usually wait for DVD.

Ours is 1.50 for any show - try to wait until the movies get here - the next 'cheapest' one is 5.50 if you go before 6 pm every day

We have a "dollar theater" but it's really $1.50 now. And it's quite a ways away. And it's really getting pretty icky.

We have one with 2 dollar tickets. It's not very well maintained though. The floors are always really sticky.

Nada..........we buy discount tickets from AAA, but the cost of a sitter doesn't allow us to go out that often :D :D ......

We have a theater in the neighboring town that charges $3. They usually have pretty good movies there.:D

1.50 over here, but the movies range from decent to bombs

We have a small local theater that charges $2 before 6, and $3 after 6.
We also have a place downtown that charges $3 for all movies.

We have a theater here that costs $2. It has three screens and one of them is Mugs & Movies where you can order food from a menu in the actual theater.

Used to have a .99 theatre but they tore it down and opened a Blockbuster video store

Now they have 2nd run movies (right before they come out on video) at the "Cinema Cafe's" - where you sit at tables and can order dinner, pizza, beer and wine, pictures of soda etc. The movies cost $2.00 but they more than make up for that in the food prices. We would go more often if the food was even semi-decent but it tastes like it's all just re-heated pre-packaged, pre-cooked foods... even the popcorn isn't "fresh"

We used to have one close to us that charged $1.00 but they closed it because it didn't get enough business. It was literally right next door to a mall with a huge theatre and I guess even though it was cheaper it just couldn't compete. I used to love going there though, it wasn't the nicest of places but $1.00 is cheaper than renting videos.

A few of them. One we use to go to is now $1.50. But like someone else wrote :p . Last resort.
We usually go to the early showing at very nice (and near) theatre. $6 each, much cleaner, airplane seats, large screens, etc. :)
