I know I read this somewhere but I am so new at these boards, I can't find it. :badpc: When you go into a park, particulariyl MK, should you head to the left or the right first. I thought I that I read that most people head left but I can't remember :confused3 . We are leaving in 2 days, yes 2 days :hourglass (don't hate me!). My DH and I and DD6 and DD3. I am definitely NOT overplanning. In fact, I have a list of our must see attractions but since it is their first trip, I am not going to run here and there until I see how it goes. I am just thinking now which is the best way to head. Does anyone suggest getting on the train first and heading back to toontown or fronteirland first?
Any advice you have would be great. I have learned SO much from these boards. I havn't gotten too many answeres to some of my other posts, maybe because i am new and not in the "clique" yet. I do have to say that I have become addicted to reading these boards several times a day and I know I will when I get back to re-live our trip.

THANK YOU!!!!! :cheer2: :love2:

We go left mostly in ride lines. We know what rides we want to hit first in the parks so we go there first. If you have a choice in a ride line to go right or left, turn left! Have fun!

When we wet to Magic Kingdom, we were there at the opening of the park and headed in the back first - no one was there, no lines. Everyone starts with the front and walks around. It was our only day there (we were at Disney for only 2 days) so we were rushing around let me tell ya.
We did MGM, Epcot, MK & Animal Kingdom in 2 & a half days.

I was done!! Now, we are going back in October for 11 days... That should be a great experience :-)

I personally find it better to go counterclockwise. Most people I feel tend to go clockwise.

According to independent research, there is no advantage to going left or right, either in the park or if you're given a choice for which line to wait in for a ride.

According to the Unofficial Guide, most people head for either Fantasyland, Space Mountian, or Splash/Thunder Mountain first thing when they get to the park, especialy at park open. As for ride lines, just pick the one that looks the shortest!

I would go to Fantasyland first thing in the morning when the park opens, and ride Dumbo first! Do as many other rides there as you can, and then go to Toontown right when it opens.

Have a great trip! :wizard:

at MK we get there when it opens and head straight to fantasyland...we can hit everything in an hour, round out the hour with philharmagic and then leave that area and never return to that STROLLER HELL all day long :cool1:

in the other parks, we just head to the attractions we want to get to most

I usually go right, especially at MK. Although I may rethink my strategy after reading this thread. I like to go on Space Mountain before anything else at MK and at MGM I like to got to ToT and RnR first. I guess it is just your preference, if you like the thrill rides better or the safer, easier rides. Considering you have two young DD's, you may want to do like a previous poster said and go straight to Fantasyland.

As liznboys and Stiff stated, going right to Fantasyland at park opening would be the best way for your family. After MK has been opened for about 1 1/2 hours Fantasyland is almost gridlock with people and strollers.

I head left for Splash (my favorite) then I do BTMRR, and adventure land.

Our first visit was December 2004 and we went left and it worked very well each time, never encountered huge crowds--don't know if this was the norm or just good luck :)

I say go left for all the rides. My children would make a game out of this. We would see who we would be behind if we went to the right. We always beat that person onto the ride by going to the left. It kept them occupied while waiting in line. Have a great time. :earsgirl:
