Do you get wet on Pirates ride?

I've always sat in the back or towards the middle and in between 2 people and never gotten wet. This time we wound up in the front row (me still in the middle), and all 3 of us did get wet. But it's nothing major. Think about what would happen if someone had a jumbo version of those fan/watter bottles that squirt water while fanning you. So, it's more like a mist/stray drops than anything.

I think the ride's supposed to last about 5 minutes, but I wonder if they occasionally speed it up... there was literally no wait when I went on it, but yet it felt like the ride went a lot faster than normally.
