Do you get the boot on Halloween party nights?

I am continually amazed at how many parents teach their kids that stuff like this is 'ok'.
On a similar note- I live about 15 minutes from a canadian border bridge. Our local malls have had to put in rows and rows of garbage cans for old clothing and hangers/tags because Canadians come over the boarder, buy clothing and literally WEAR it all back over the boarder. When asked if they bought anything on their trip- every child in the car says 'NO'....THIS so they can avoid paying the taxes.
I could NEVER EVER support or push my children to lie to a federal official- or anyone for that matter.

On my confirmation for a ARD on a party night (Reservation for 6:40) I had this on the e-mail I received:

Reservation for 2 Guests on Sunday Sep 14, 2014
Cinderella's Royal Table
6:40 PM - Dinner

Magic Kingdom® Park

Your reservation occurs during a special event, which requires a separate admission ticket for park entry. Please ensure all members of your dining party hold tickets for this event.

I know usually they let you go to your ADR up to 7, but I didn't take a chance and changed it to an earlier one.

I had the same notice and our ADR is 5:50pm. Must be a standard warning.

Guessing it's a CRT issue then. I have a ressie at Tony's for 6:40 on a party night and received no such e-mail.

But as with any restaurant, as long as you book before 7pm, they will take you right? I don't want to be rushed or refused since we are not attending the party that night.

Unless things change in some massive, unexpected way this year, you'll be fine. As long as your ADR is for before 7:00 pm and you check in before 7:00 pm, they will seat you. You won't be rushed or refused service. Just expect to be escorted from the park when you are finished. Other than that, you should be fine.

I think this is glitch with the ADR system for CRT. I don't think it's a "standard warning" because non-party guests have historically been allowed to make ADRs for until just before the park closes. I tested out Tony's Town Square and Liberty Tree Tavern and neither venue had that warning associated with their ADR. So at this point, I'm strongly inclined to say that the warning is just a glitch.

Of course, after 7pm if they don't have a party ticket they don't have valid admission to the park at that time and thus aren't supposed to be in the park at that time. So, yep in a way they are trespassing.

Now people who are finishing an ADR aren't trespassing but would be if they lingered.

I've been in MK on party nights. CM's start herding people to the entrance long before 7pm.

Not many options to my knowledge I think the only options with a "great view" would be from the monorail resorts. At CR, Cali Grill has a viewing platform for patrons who are either dining there or just hanging at the bar, but no outdoor seating. At Poly, you can sit on the beach with a cocktail from the bar but you'd have to get there early for a lounger. You'd also have to check construction status at that time because as of now, part of the beach is closed off. You can also see it from Ohana but again, no outdoor seating. Not sure about GF, but I do believe there is a patio of some sort there.

I know it's not Wishes, but for a similar experience viewing Illuminations at Epcot, we did dinner at Rose & Crown and they have a beautiful outdoor patio on the lagoon with a great view. You'd have to request a table there which is not guaranteed, but it's worth a shot.

Great, I will definitely look into all these ideas. Thanks again!!!

They are forceful because some guests seem to require it. And if parents tell their kids ahead of time that they will need to hustle out without stopping to look at stuff, I think they can handle it.

Agreed. It's. It a secret - they make tons of loudspeaker announcements that the park closes at 7p if you don't have a party ticket.

So help me if I hear someone next to me say they didn't pay for a ticket - I'm happy to get a CM to do a random wristband check.

Agreed! :) I'm sorry, OP, this isn't meant to be a dig at you, but I'm glad to know that Disney is upholding their end of the bargain for those that have purchased tickets.

Agreed! I bet a lot of people would try to linger if they could. It is expensive for a few hours of fun but it's completely worth it! The kids and I went the 1st week of Dec and during the Christmas party the rides were empty! They went on everything at least twice, it took the pressure off the rest if the trip because they got MK to themselves for a whole night. Going to MNSSHP this year and so liking forward to bringing my Non-Disney husband. Maybe the lack of crowds and blazing sun will change his mind.

We have had 2 experiences with this. The first was a Christmas party night, we had an ADR at 7, no wristbands or tickets. Our ADR was at the castle, we checked in a couple of minutes early , around 6:55. We waited for our name to be called, we're taken in after 7, and had the normal meal. After we finished they gathered a group of people leaving without party tickets and escorted us down main street sidewalks during the parade, to the exit. No problems. the second time was last October, we did have party tickets, but we did not get them picked up before our 6:00 BoG ADR because we were running behind (bus made an unscheduled pickup) again we went to check in and had no problem with the meal. When we finished we went back to the entrance and picked up our tickets/wristbands. I bet if you check on before 7 you will be fine.

Not true. The park sweep starts at the far extremes of the Lands at the 7:00 announcement and all wrist band checkpoints begin at 7pm. Usually reaches the HUB at about 7:30ish and continues down Main St. to the entry area and completes about 7:45ish.

Thanks for the feedback. That's good to know. Do you think it's worth going to the magic kingdom on a party-night? The park hours are short and no fireworks. I had heard the crowds are light earlier in the day and then really heavy around 5:00pm to close.

No, not really. Unless you had planned to get there at rope drop and leave early, like 4. If you wanted to make a day out of MK and be able to see the late night fireworks I would go another day.

CM's will boot you out without the MNSSHP wrist band. And party goers do start showing up at 4!

Yes, in my experience, it is true. It may be subtle and in some cases, not so subtle, but they want you out of the park by 7pm.

I've worked all except about 6 or 7 of the parties (Halloween & Christmas) for the last 5 years, working Parade Audience Control (which also does the sweep and wristband checks) and we can't/don't start until the 7pm announcement, that's when we actually start doing the wristband checks and the stores, attractions, food service, etc., begin the wristband entry checks. We don't stop anyone prior to that time at any of the bridges, stores or anywhere else.

I was surprised at how aggressively the CMs monitored wristbands leading up to the 7pm cut off when we were there. The people being directed/led out looked like trespassers. Sorta felt bad for some of them.

Only because at times they have had to literally drag people out to get them to leave. The tickets are really expensive and it is not fair to let people who have not paid stay and catch the parade and fireworks.

And I applaud and thank all the Cast Members that have this duty and actually stand their ground to those that try their best to sneak past and stay for free. :thumbsup2

I've never stuck around until 7pm on a party night, so I don't know when wristband checks actually start.

All the waving hands, "exit this way" signs were out in full force on Main Street by 4pm.

I am glad they are so aggressive. People pay a lot of money to go to the parties!
I totally agree they should be aggressive! I'm paying big money To be at the party and the last thing I want is someone who didn't pay take my spot on the parade route!! Last MVMCP I felt that there were so many people there during the 1st parade that didn't have wristbands!
