to use the restroom?

and is there a difference?

poll coming

asking to settle an argument with a friend.

OMG....I don't even want to see the results :rotfl:

I voted out of both because it would not matter to me, but for curiosity sake. Would it make a difference if you were home or in a public pool or shower (like at the gym)?

thanks dan, i knew it had been asked b efore , but this girls being insistant and agreed that we would let thee dis settle it,, she doesnt post here so to her its non partial..lol

What kind of conversations are you having Froggy? :lmao:

we were discussing the start up treatment of my pool actually and she aasked what chemicals i used to treat that peroblem, and i told her that i didnt want people doing that in my pool, that we requested that everyone get out and go inside

All right, I'll confess - I peed in the pool last week. We were at Discovery Cove, I was in the lagoon with the dolphins, I suddenly had to go, and there was no way I was going to get out of that water and get that wetsuit peeled off in time. In my defense, it was right after the girl poured the remaining water out of the fish bucket, so I had a brief struggle with my conscience, but I eventually said, "Hey, what's a little sterile urine from me, the cleanest person I know, compared to the millions of dead fish germs she just poured into the water right in front of that dolphin, not to mention all the animal waste being produced by 15 dolphins all day every day?" So I peed. There, I said it. I'm not really proud of it, but I did it.

Totally gross to pee in someone's pool, though.

I usually try to avoid that problem in the shower by going to the bathroom first. I'm not really against it, though - I figure you can just wash away the evidence, and as long as soapy water is going down the drain I'm OK with it.

Again, I didn't mean to poison the dolphins. It was just the sudden cold water, and the wetsuit, and the dead fish water....

If I can be completely candid; I can't imagine having to request such a thing. Perhaps I misjudge my friends and my guests, but I can't imagine that someone would even consider using my pool for a toilet. :yuck:

At the gym?! And risk being dubbed "the Urinator" like George Costanza was? :rotfl: Nope. Only in the privacy of my own home shower. :rotfl2:

Oh, and though I never pee in a swimming pool, I'm not too freaked out by it either. I figure there are enough chemicals in that water to kill it as it's coming out.

These are the same thoughts that I was having.

I get out for both and it totally disgusts me that there are people that don't so I'm not going to read other posts because...

Wow, that should count as an amazing superpower!!!! You could call yourself "The Urinator."

Come on, someone help me out here. I can't be the only person on the DIS who ever tinkled a little in a pool, fish-guts-germ-filled or not.

we put a dye in our pool so it turns purple if you pee in it .... we do warn them so the other kids laugh you if you do .... :teeth: you can get it at your local pool supplies place

A friend of mine one time threw a Baby Ruth into a public pool (like in the movie Caddyshack) to see what people would do. BTW they don't float- it sank right to the bottom and no one even noticed it. :rotfl:
