Do You Get Excited About Non Dis Trips?

JUST GOT BACK FROM OUR TRIP AND WE HAD A GREAT TIME...WISH WE COULD HAVE STAYED IN LOUISIANNA LONGER THOUGH! WE DROVE FROM WEST PALM BEACH TO LAKE CITY AREA AND WENT TUBEING IN THE ICHATUKNEE SPRINGS...WHICH WAS WONDERFUL. THEN ON TO PENNSICOLA FOR A TRIP TO THE AIR FORCE MUSEUM AND A DAY ON THE BEAUTIFUL BEACHES. THEN ON TO HOUMA, LA. IT WAS WONDERFUL BUT WE HAD TO FIghT BACK TEARS DRIVING THROUGH MISSISSIPPI AND NEW ORLEANS AREAS. SO SUREAL TO SEE ALL OF THE SAME AREAS THAT JUST A YEAR AGO THEY WERE SHOWING ON THE NEWS AND ALL OF THE DEVASTATION THAT IS STILL THERE. MANY PRAYERS WERE SAID.
WENT TO THE FRENCH QUARTER FOR SOME WONDERFUL FOOD..CAFE DU MONDE AND BOATING IN THE BYOU AND DINNER AT THE LOCAL FAVORITE RESTAURANT BIG ALS FOR CRAWFISH!! A WONDERFUL TRIP AND CAN'T WAIT TO PLAN OUR NEXT TRIP THERE!
ALSO, PLANNING OUR TRIPS TO WDW IN JANUARY AND AN ADDED TRIP TO WDW FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND!!

I'm so glad that you enjoyed your trip. I love Louisiana and think it is one of our most beautiful states.When we were in New Orleans in April we took the streetcar to the city park and passed row upon row of empty houses and stores. It was heartbreaking. Also, every person we talked to had a story to tell. It really brought home the scope of the tragedy that occurred in our own country. I hope people don't soon forget what happened and the people whose lives are still in uproar.

I'm usually way more relaxed in the planning (and executing) of non-Disney trips. I am more likely to go with the flow and not have too many things planned.

So there's a trade-off, but I'd almost always rather go to Disney!

I just love any trip, but I'm a lot more antsy when it comes to Disney... I love that place and I can't get enough of it...unfortunatly I live far, far away and it's my 3rd trip there in 3years with one trip to DL (last August), so I'm lucky to have made it there that many times, but I don't know if I can keep it up...
