do you get a meal on European fights?

It's so long since we have flown to Europe (other than budget airline) that I can't remember whether you have a meal on board or not.

My Mum's flying to Italy on Thursday (10:30 am) and wonders whether they'll be fed on their Alitalia flight.

Well we flew KLM to Amsterdam last year and considering it was only a 50 minute flight we did.

We got 2 complimentry drinks (alcohol included)
Smoked salmon or chicken roll (which was amazing)
Savoury pie thing, I had veg Nic had beef.
Individual apple pie.

We also had a soft drink with the meal.

It was the same on the way back.

Yes, most scheduled airlines offer free-of-charge inflight meals and drinks.

It sounds as though Mum's likely to be fed but, knowing her she'll still take her sandwiches and biscuits 'just in case'!
