I can't find my WWTBAM/PI! 1000 points cap and I am just sick about it.

Have torn up the house, looked in both cars, am sitting her *trying* to remember every single place I have been outside the house lately (places I might have left the cap over the past several days), said a St. Anthony prayer ("Tony, Tony, look around, what was lost, must be found")... I am so upset and then I am mad at myself for being upset! I don't lose keys, like many of my friends, but this cap thing is making me really upset and I know it's just a small thing not anything huge and that makes me even more upset...

And all I can do is think about that cap and where it might be and why can't I find it. We came back from WDW last week, I know I've worn it since then, I know I had it on sometime in the past four/five days.
sorry to take up space with this little thing, I can't believe how upset I am about it.

agnes! :guilty:

i lose things all the time. I even lose money. I"ve been known to stash it somewhere and completely forget where. I am currently looking for my one son's W2 which I put somewhere for him and I can't remember where. I'm bordering on panic but I know i'll find it.

I lose things all the time. The best recently was when I couldn't find the ham in the refrigerator. After looking everywhere and blaming my kids for putting it somewhere in the fridg. not the drawer I resigned myself to PB&J and went to get the bread. Well guess what I found. The ham from the night before when I made my youngest's lunch. I put a whole pound of ham in the bread drawer. So yes I have a lot of experience with loosing things. A lot of Easter basket things were originally Stocking Stuffers!

I spent the entire summer, and a lot of my winter break tearing apart my house looking for my WL map, and all my brochures from when we went to the World last April. Still nothing :sad2: I'm almost thinking someone threw them away thinking the bag they were in was empty.
Guess I'll have to tell my mom that the next DVC trip we take needs to be back to the Lodge ;)

I lose things all the time. As a kid I always lost my shoes. It would take me weeks to find them. I only just found my scarf this morning that has been missing since Friday night. I am missing a camisole. I called off the search months ago. I think it happened somewhere between the moves from the dorm to home. It was one of my favorites so it annoys me but oh well. I guess it took a trip. I hope its having fun.

Hannathy: My mom does the same thing! She misplaces gifts all the time and we won't get them for years. Or stocking stuffers become easter gifts or birthday gifts. :rotfl2:

Good luck in finding your cap! Here's to hoping its not on a trip with my camisole! :goodvibes

Somedays I think I'd lose my head if it weren't attached. I hope you find your hat. :)

On our flight back from Orlando last month, I lost the Chef Mickey stuffed doll that we bought. I know I lost it on the plane because I know I had it when we got on (since I'd just seen it) and I didn't have it when we got home.

I was so upset! Cried and everything. There is a nice DISer who is going to WDW soon and has said they'd check to see if they could find me another one. I'd bought it at the $10 and Under store and it was the only one there and we never saw one anywhere else so we might be out of luck - but I'm so happy that someone is nice enough to try to find us another one.

I don't lose much, so when I do, it really upsets me - especially if I know it was my own fault.

Don't tell DH, but I can't find two pair of earrings, plus the diamond jackets that go with them. I KNOW they're together, I just don't know where they are. I last wore them on a trip, so I hope I didn't leave them in the hotel room safe. :guilty:

I usually find the things I'm looking for in the trash. I have the habit of doing 5 different things at once, and if I'm throwing something out and just happen to have the remote control in my hands at the same time, the remote goes out with whatever I have in my hands that is considered trash (candy wrappers, etc)! My car keys have been found in the trash as well!

Luckily, I retrieve it before it ends up at the landfill!

My DH took my car to the airport and left me with his. Unfortunately, I can't find my set of keys to his car! I've looked everywhere--to no avail. Thank goodness for grown children who don't mind running Mom around on errands. I know that the keys will show up on Friday--as soon as DH gets home. ;)

I like to think of it as Misplacing things. Most of the time I can find them over time. Just not were I was looking for them.

Hope you find your hat.

You lose money too.... :rotfl: The guy I work with loses things all the time and always tries to say, "I gave that to you" or "I put that on your desk". A few weeks ago he misplaced 750.00 which we still have not found and yesterday he asked me if I had seen his IPOD...oh my gosh!

I lose things too, but that is ridiculous!

...my brother just called. My mom is in the hospital with chest pain, the drs are running tests. They've given her morphine for the pain and nitro for her heart. I asked if he needed me to come up to Pa & he said no, not yet.
I think that's why I've been so upset this morning(and I thought it was about the stupid cap), sometimes my family has an ESP-type thing going on.

P&PD, please...
agnes!

Prayers and hugs to you Agnes

I've never lost that amount. Usually it's around $40. or so but it's annoying.

I lost a pair of earrings on a trip, and although I looked EVERYWHERE for them, even the travel kit a million times - I found them in the travel kit months later. :confused3

Don't give up hope.

I "lost" my engagement ring once - again looked everywhere - turns out I had put it on my right hand!

Agnes - prayers for your mom - hope it turns out to be nothing (my mom has been to the ER twice with bad gas!)

I lost my engagement and wedding ring today and I have had them for 10 years! So don't feel too bad and say a prayer to St Anthony for me. :sad2:
