Do you ever go just one or two of the parks on a long stay?

It never occurred to me to just “focus” on one park. I want to see all the things. Curious if anyone has done “only MK/AK etc” for a week and skipped parks entirely. I just can’t imagine!

I have never been there that long for years but we do not do AK and even HS every trip, depending on who is with me.

We have done 4 night trips with Epcot being the only place we went.

We flew in for a weekend once and just did Animal Kingdom (staying at Animal Kingdom Villas). It was very stress free because we weren't worried about getting from one park to another.

We will do two parks (and occasionally a park-hop to/from HS on an Epcot day) on a typical trip, with MK always being one of the parks. We also do an Epcot-only trip once a year for F&W. That trip is usually 3 or 4 days, so I'm not sure if that counts as a "long" trip, but only one day out of four in a park.

Marathon Weekend this year. First day, MK, splash mountain, then off to the expo, then home to WL. Next day, HS for three rides and lunch, then WL. Third day, AK, skipped it altogether and stayed at the resort because we wanted to squeeze every last second out of those cabins, then find our new hotel and settle in… which we did, (visited Orlando a bit, back to the resort, swimming, hot tubs, dinner)

We do this all the time. Rarely do we go to all 4 parks in a trip. Usually only 1-2. We have so much fun resort and lounge hopping, spending time in Disney Springs, etc. that the stress/crowds of the parks and having to be on such has schedule has become less and less appealing for us each each year.

We rarely go to AK (someone needs to do something about that place, so much potential). If we stay at RIV, Carribean Beach, or BWV we will usually only go to Epcot or DHS. If we stay in a monorail resort or CCV we will only go to MK. We try to always stay on the monorail/CCV or Skyliner and order our park visits based on that. But, we are only in the parks for 4-6 hours a day.

Last year we stayed for a week and only did 2 park days MK and Epcot. We had been doing 3 days but dropped AK due to no shows. We dropped HS even longer ago.

My sister & I took her 8-yr-old daughter last summer (for a week) & decided to get our park res’s for MK every day. We were actually nervous about it. We had APs & PHs, so we knew we wouldn’t be “stuck” at only MK, but we also knew we’d have to start each day at MK and couldn’t make the switch until after 2. 😬

At the end of the trip, we were so happy that we planned it that way!! 😁 My niece is a “stop & smell the roses” kinda gal… that combined with no FPs/LLs and afternoon swim breaks, we had a super relaxing trip in Disney! My sis & I are both usually pretty serious planners & love to “maximize” our time in the parks… knowing that we were going to MK every single day totally put both of us in a much more chill state-of-mind, & our niece got to pretty much call all the shots. We all loved it!! 😍

We won’t do it every time, but we really did love it and plan to do more trips that way in the future

This past May we bought PH tickets, like always, and IDK if it was the heat or what but we only park hopped one day. We do tend to do the park we're around so if we go to MK it's because we're staying on one of the surrounding hotels. If we go to AK we're at AK Lodge.

With how expensive the parks are now we may only do two maybe three parks per trip.

On our first trip (4 nights) we did Magic Kingdom with 1 afternoon at Epcot just to ride Frozen. It was great just focusing on Magic Kingdom. The next trip was 5 nights and we focused on the other parks with only an evening in MK and a morning in Epcot. With short trips we only focus on 1 or 2 parks depending on where we are staying, but on the longer ones we do end up in every park at some point. We also like to do a split-stay on longer trips so we plan our parks around where we are staying.

This is so interesting to me! We always do 5 parks days. We do all 4 and have a hard time choosing the one park to double up on! This time we will do 6 days so it will still be hard to decide which two to leave out. We will prob do EP and MK two times.
I still can’t imagine skipping any. Lol!

We generally go for a week at a time and do every park. Depending on when we go (twice a year), the parks we double/triple up varies.

We always go 2 1/2 days HS and AK..... HS is my favorite park & AK is my wife's. One day at Epcot and MK covers most of what we like to do. Then we use park hopper and hop to do anything we have missed. We also include a half-day to rest and relax. You can and should do whatever you and your group wants and needs to do. Purchasing Park Hopper is needed to have maximum flexibiity.... so you would need to consider the cost of park hoppers.

Our longest trip was 18 days years back, POR. Family group and we repeated but not as much as you’d think. Did the four parks but We took pool/resort days, resort hop days ( POR/pofq) ,other resort dining mixed with mini golf or movie days, Shopping days, never left the resort bubble and I think the only parks we repeated were MK and Epcot. Being repeat visitors we just enjoyed All the world had to offer back things. Things have certainly changed.
we average week trips now and mostly do 1/2 day at HS, and full days at other parks, don’t typically repeat parks unless there was a “ gotta get on a ride” situation. We tend to do other things now, experiences to fill other days and add in a dining sit down ( horseback riding, nite Safari, carriage ride, show like HDDR)
Much more relaxed visits so a week and 3 1/2 park days seems to work. Haven’t been back since covid started … so maybe with the ride lines etc we ll do repeat parks to Hopefully get on what we want.

DH and I have done this on two trips by ourselves and found it nice and relaxing. I have been trying to convince my kids with kids to do this but, alas, we are just back from a very hectic 5 parks in 6 nights with no Genie+. A great trip but not relaxing.

We have never gone for less than a week at a time, and we have never done less than three parks. We usually get the park hopper, so sometimes we'll do MK/HS/AK during the days and do Epcot several evenings. I LOVE Epcot at night...it's one of my favorite things about WDW.

We have never gone to WDW specifically for an "event", like F&W. If we did, I could absolutely see going to just Epcot over the course of several days. Not sure if that would qualify as a "long stay", though.

We only do the "event" thing for F&W. We like to do Orlando in late winter or early spring, so our "long" trip never matches up (but we do get FOA or F&G). Living in So Cal, a long trip to Florida in the summer or early fall would be nuts, weather-wise, so we do a short trip to hit Epcot only (although we might park hop, but it's not the priority). In the end, we get two Epcot festivals in every year.

We do Food and 🍷 and 🌸 n Garden regularly but only 1-2 days. I can’t wait to go back again. I can see doing an Epcot/HS trip bc we have Boardwalk but I have to do Safari on repeat and swing by Yak n Yeti (they need an emoji for yeti) in order to feel fulfilled in Life.
