In october me, my mom and my dad went to disney for the first time ever. We ran to MK as soon as we got there and were fine all afternoon. But as soon as spectromagic started and my mom saw mickey for the first time, she started to cry, and then i followed suit.

Then we went and saw wishes and we ALL just cried. Me and my mom already know that we will probably always cry during wishes now, and are looking forward to being back in Dec.

I usually get teary eyed during Wishes, the last day we are there and in MCO going home. :guilty: :sad1:

I got teary eyed for the first time there this past time i was there. i went on my honeymoon (2nd marriage...2nd honeymoon there lol...i tell everybody i take all my honeymoons at WDW)

I'm sorry to say, during past trips, I had lost some of the magic. I was 'oh yeah i'm here whoopie'. Then after I got there this past time, all that changed and I think how foolish I've been! I think it was just the company I was with hahahahah

So the last time I was there i had more fun than i did anywhere before. I was teary when I first got there and got an excellent spot to see illuminations...it was my hubby's first time there. We've tried to go back 3 times since but something has always come up....but now...we've got less than 2 weeks to go, taking our DS down for the first time..his 1st real vacation anywhere. i'll be sure to cry when i see his reaction. I hope we get to see Pooh when we're there cuz thats one of his faves...ok I'm rambling i'll stop lol

I booked frist trip for family ever to WDW about 2 weeks ago. I cried after I hung up the phone. I have dreamed of taking my child to WDW since the day I got married 10 yrs ago and now its just 4.5 short months away. I tear up thinking about seeing my lil man's face when he sees the castle for the first time. I know ill sob when we hit the gates to Disney, I cried like a baby when we took him to A Day Out with Thomas the Tank Engine. We talked about it for months before we got there and then when we drove up to train station and he got so excited and was smiling and laughing. It was wonderful to see him so happy and I imagine WDW is gonna be worse. Im such a sap LOL.

YUP!! I'll admit it ... I cry ... ESPECIALLY during WISHES! and the One Man's Dream movie! I can't help myself! :goodvibes

The last trip (in June) I cried:
When we landed in Orlando
When we got to the Magical Express area
When we got on the ME buses
When we got inside the world
When we got to the hotel
First time we got on the Monorail and I heard the announcers voice
First time entering each park
When I saw Cindy's castle the first time
Everytime we were "dusted" and/or my kids giggled over something
Then reverse it with sad tears for the last time we did everything, the ME bus back to the airport, etc.

I am as cold hearted as they come, but when I walked into the Magic Kingdom last year with my four kids(their first time) I was a'blubbering

I always cry when the ME driver says "welcome home!" as we drive through the WDW arches.

Sometimes during Wishes or out of the blue as well!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that cries! Last year when I went with my friends I felt so silly, but I honestly couldn't not cry. There is such joy in the feeling of being in Disney, that I can't control the emotion and I cry!! Seeing the castle, watching Fantasmic, and watching Voyage of the Little Mermaid all make me cry. Sometimes even just riding around on the TTA and just taking it all in makes me a little teary! :rolleyes1

I get teary eyed at most parades and the music from Fantasmic makes me cry too.

 I always felt embarrased that I would tear up and cry .... especially when Tink flew overhead during Wishes ......... don't even get me started thinking about getting to see Mickey... but now I know I am not alone!!!

I can actually remember one time when I cried. It was during a daytime parade at the MK where the characters would come down off the lfoats...maybe Share A Dream Come True???

Anyhow, this little girl was wheel-chair bound, and when the Cinderella/Prince Charming float got near her, he came down off the float and started dancing with her in her chair, twirling her around and so forth and the expression on her face was one of sheer joy. I had just finished 6 years of unsuccessful infertility treatment, so was a bit emotional, and the whole thing just moved me to tears.

As a matter-of-fact, I could still cry as I sit here and type this, just thinking about that.

I cry at One Man's Dream. I cry when I see Mickey because dh is always teary-eyed and that pulls at my heart-strings. And I cry randomly throughout the trip while watching the kids. But they are always happy tears!

I cry during Illuminations. Usually the 1st time and the last time I see it. All the others times inbetween I'm just very happy. I see it every night of my trip except for 2 nights for wishes and fantasmic. Heck, I cry just watching it on my DVD. LOL. :rotfl:

I am just wondering, have you ever gotten teary-eyed at Disney because of all the happiness?

I've never been, but I suspect I might shed some happiness tears when I arrive.

Do you guys cry at Disney? (Happiness or otherwise?)

Last year was my families first trip. I had been to DL when I was younger, and WDW once (Last time 18, last year-35) My 15 year old son, who enjoys playing football and picking on his younger sister and happens to be 6' and over 200 lbs, looks down at me during Wishes with great, big tears, and says "thanks Mom"
I cry thinking about our upcoming trip. My husband is in Korea and we will be going about 6 weeks after he gets home. :woohoo: He really got to me when he started talking about how he is looking forward to coming home and our upcoming trip. I have planned the whole trip and really have tried to think of every possible way to make this trip as magical as possible. pixiedust: Also, my oldest DD is going to having her 13th birthday during our trip. (the thought of another teen would bring any parent to tears. ) Also, my youngest DD is legally blind and just watching her makes me tear up!
I guess you can sign me up for the sap club. :rolleyes1

Oh yeah, I cry a lot on Disney trips. I cry everytime I watch Wishes (you can count me as part of the group that cries at the music even). I cry at Illuminations. I cry at Fantasmic. I cry when we go under the welcome arch. I cried the first time DD saw Minnie, Sleeping Beauty and Belle. I cried watching DD watch Beauty and the Beast. Etc.

Big old sap, I am.

I got teary-eyed watching Wishes for the first time.

I heard about the perfect spot to watch it from and told my wife when I brought here there. Next to us was a man with his son who heard what I said and he said "You're right!" It turns out he was one of the imagineers and he said that was the exact spot they stood at to "tune" the show.

*note to the TF* We're going back for Disney + Cruise for our 4th Anniversary and we're STILL honeymooning!

I always get a little wet-eyed when we're heading home, but this year is going to be very different.

Since we started planning and booking this holiday in november of last year, we have:

lost a horse
lost two rabbits
DW has had her final exams and final assignments etc
Changed job under great financial pressure
Nearly separated as a result of all of teh above combined

We're also taking two of our friends with us, one of whom has never been to florida. That makes this holiday so special for all of us -

A celebration for DW for passing her course with flying colours :teacher:
A real 'break' from it all to recover and chill out after the horrible year it's been so far
Genuine 'first-time' amazement for DFriend

I take great pride in planning good holidays, and after everything i'm happy to say this one will be the best yet - i'll most likely get very teary when we step into Magic Kingdom and everyone sees the castle up close for the first time..... a priceless memory and one that I'll have the camera out for :teeth:
