I don't tear up as much anymore, but will occassionally.

- I'll sometimes do it as we're approaching the front of MK on the monorail...where you see the front gate with THE MAGIC KINGDOM written on the front gate, with the castle peeking out over the top behind it.

- I'll sometimes tear it up as we walk across EPCOT's parking lot as SpaceShip Earth gets closer and closer

- Sometimes still during Illuminations. The first time I ever saw Illuminations about 4 years ago, I teared up pretty good. It was no coincidence that I officially became HOOKED On Disney at that point. It was powerful.

- Sometimes as I'm driving toward Disney on I-4, and think about how lucky I am to be going to The World.

I voted for #1 :teeth:

I cry everytime I watch wishes. I cant even watch it on YouTube
come to think of it I can even hear the music without crying.

My DH and I both cried when we first arrived at the MK. We were there for the opening show - just cried because we were so happy! Kids thought we were crazy! :rotfl:

I have only been three times, once when I was a child, but the first time I took my son, who was 4 at time, I cried the first time he got to see Mickey and the look on his face was priceless, I also happen to snap a picture right when he saw him. I am sure this time around there will be plenty of tears too, we are going with some family with two children 3 and 6 who have never been either.

I'm a big old crybaby! As soon as I see the castle the flood gates open! :goodvibes

I usually cry from the time I get there until the day we leave. Quite A LOT more though on the day we leave. I'll have to elaborate more later. It's late and I'm tired.

I cry when I see the Castle for the first time, and when we leave the MK for the last time. I make DH promise we will return every single time.

I will choke up during Wishes, but the only time I can remember flat out tears running down my cheeks (but not too much - I have that guy rep to uphold - yeah right :teeth: ) was a few years ago at Epcot. They had a carillon band (Cast in Bronze) performing during the Christmas season. We stopped to watch one of their shows on a beautiful afternoon. They performed several Christmas songs and I thought it would be cool to hear Carol of the Bells (my favorite Christmas song). For those of you who don't know - a carillon is a huge set of bells.

Anyway, they launch into their final number and when I realized it was Carol of the Bells, it just hit me. I was in my favorite place at my favorite time of year with my favorite person (DW) on a perfect day hearinig my favorite Christmas song. The goosebumps and tears just flowed. Makes me want to find teh video and watch it all over again.

Everytime I walk up to the end of main street and stand and see the castle at the other end. :cloud9:

I'm a guy and I get teary eyed at WDW. No actually tears but I do get abit choked up sometimes. The end of of The American Adventure always chokes me up. I think I'm just a sap for the music.

I turn into a mushball at Disney World! Everything chokes me up! I just feel so completely free and happy and light when I am there; its such a nice change from reality!

That, my friend sounds like heaven. The most amazing thing about WDW is the fact that things like that happen everyday! I always shed some tears turning the corner onto main street. That's what sunglasses are for right?

At least you hold it until you see the castle. I start as soon as the ME bus drives onto the resort and my son (11) says 'Oh Mom' - time to put the sunglasses on so as not to embarrass the 'cool one'
:cool1: :cool1:

I cry whether I'm a Guest or during my 4 month CP Internship. While working at Splash Mountain I was in contact with Guests the entire duration of my shift. However, the times that really made me tear up is for these two things: A child's first time to Disney or to those children there from the Make A Wish Foundation. To know that that child's wish was to go to a place where I work and "make the magic" is a wonderful and warm feeling. And the little kids who get so excited to go on Splash for the first time ... Nothing like it. If I would be at Photocells (the person who says "Thanks for stopping by!" etc.) and a family would start talking to me and I knew it was their first time I'd give them ride re-ads or switch passes. Just my way of spreading the pixie dust!

And as a Guest... sheesh when don't I cry? Seeing the Castle for the first time on the trip is the first time I tear up, even if it's just the spires in the distance. Wishes ... Forget it. I go through tissues like water in the middle of July! Illuminations does it for me, too, since I know the words for the 2 songs at the end.

It's the little things that do it, too. Seeing the little girls in the princess gowns or the boys dressed like pirates... It's so wonderful. And even though I encountered some Guests who I firmly believe should never ever be allowed back in Disney World again and there were times I was thisclose to quitting, I'd go back and do it all over again.

1) At the Candlelight Processional

2) Whenever I hear WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR during the fireworks

3) And when Mickey leaves that going away present under the door our last day.
