Hi ~ I have never really been homesick while on vacation. When I am home, I am usually pretty happy to be home thou. Lately I feel like hanging out at home. I am worried that I'll plan a very expensive WDW trip, get there and be homesick!

Do you get homesick? S

No, but sometimes when Dan posts a picture thread with music I get homesick for my favorite vacation place. And I bet I'm not the only one.

I do wind up missing my kitties and that's about it... but never enough to get in my way :teeth:

I NEVER get homesick while on vacation (5 days or 20)... And, I rarely feel like PHEW! Glad I'm home! when I do arrive back!!

It means I either plan really great trips, or I'm living in the wrong place

Only for my doggie and dh if he doesn't go.

We are usually too busy to be homesick!

herc.

Only at night when my cat usually jumps in bed with me. I've gotten used to my ankles being used as a cat pillow.

The only thing I miss is my pillows!!! :teeth:
I am a pillow freak!! :) And I like to sleep with lots of pillows, 4 to be exact! :teeth:

Crazy as it sounds, yes I get homesick- not so much that it ruins my vacation tho'. It usually happens at bedtime I just miss the familiarity and comfort of home. I take my pillow everywhere Bunchkin! It came on our trip last year couldn't have slept in the car or hotel rooms without it, even took it to the hospital when I had my DD 2 years ago, the nurses teased me but it's my security blanket!

Nope. My ds does a little bit though. He gets all excited about going on vacation, then when we get to where ever we're going, he says he wants to go back home.

I'll have to have more vacations to find out. :)

I allways hate to head back home, but there is a part of me thats anxious when I see "welcome to Akron"

After a week I'm ready to throw in the towel and head home. I love Disney World but I can only handle so much mouse and other tourists. :p ;)

Could you imagine the looks I would get??? LOL!!!!!!!!! :)

The last time I remember being homesick was in 1969 on a trip to Germany with my family. I've travelled to Europe twice since and don't recall being homesick. But, I do miss puttering around among my crafts and stuff when I'm away from home, including Dissing.

I do. I always get homesick and I'm usually ready to go home well before a week is up. It doesn't seem to matter where we go it always happens. It's not an overwhelming feeling or anything, it's just the knowledge that I'm not having as much fun as I was and I'd really rather be on my way home. My favorite vacations are only 4-5 days away from home but with disney that's not really feasible because we drive so we are usually gone 7-8 days which gives us four to five days in the parks.

I never get homesick but I wish that I could somehow transport my house and car to wherever I'm staying. I miss my kitties, DH (when he doesn't go), my bed and my 'puter! Plus my washer and dryer after a while but that takes some time. ;)

I'm usually good for 10 days after that I become tired of sight-seeing and restaurant cooking. I look forward to my own bed and pillow and just kind of hanging-out with nothing to do. We will be going to Italy in September for 17 days. I'm sure by the 17 day I'll be homesick.
