Do you ever buy children's toys for yourself?

My DH and I buy toys all the time.

We have all kinds of action figures from video games. I have bought my DH several Lara Croft figures, he just has to keep them at the office.

I love stuffed animals. I got a large Pluto for the Pluto's Doghouse we won off an ebay auction.

I used to collect Paddington Bear...nice to see other Paddington fans!

And Snoopy....I'm with you on the American Girl dolls. So far my 4yo dd only has a Bitty Baby and the Angelina Ballerina dolls, but now that dd#2 is here I may be in trouble. I can't wait to take the girls to American Girl Place someday!

My dh is the toy person though.....Star Wars figures, Robotech, and race cars.

I've heavily backed off of my toy interests to avoid clutter, but my dh would fill our entire house with this stuff if I let him. And, well, the kids have too many toys....mostly our oldest, our only boy, who benefitted from our love of toys for his first 5 years (action figures, Legos, Playmobil...you name it, we've got it!)

I can sum it up as when kids come over they want to play with *my* toys not whats in the toy box... I have the whole new carebear set lost childhood

I also have a decent set of hotwheels including several of the hard to get trasure hunts-

I have the whole Little People Noahs ark set and am debating over the new Kingdom sets-

I have the whole set of the before once upon a time dolls.

This isnt counting my large lilo and stitch toy collection-

Its a downfall when I work in toys I collect way to much stuff

My DH has Star Wars stuff. I have my Disney stuffed animals, and I often buy Game cube games for the kids that I like so I can play on them. I'm getting quite good at computer snowboarding

Yes. Barbies.My 6 year old daughter knows better now that they are mommies and not her's. Now she wants to be a barbie collector.

I have the monorail (two actually) and all the accessories. Plus the MK train. It only comes out at Christmas though. I almost bought a Pal Mickey. I've also thought it might be fun to get one of the GIANT plush Mickeys. I don't know where I'd put it, or what I'd do with it, but it has crossed my mind.

Of course I buy toys for myself! Everyone who knows me knows that I love toys, and people even get me toys sometimes for my birthday or Christmas (my best friend always gets me toys, like this year she got me a McFurry Maker). I can't wait until have kids, just so I have more reason to buy toys.

Cant find the blush smilie but me and DH both wanted the monorail and accessories. Each time we eat at chef Mickeys we find somehing new to play with at the stores at the Contemporary

I haven't in a long, long time. But...this past Christmas, a friend of mine who knows I'm into heavy metal and that I like Ozzy Osbourne bought me a little Lego-like doll that's a copy of Ozzy in his wolfman costume from the Bark at the Moon video. I played with that more than I did any of my other gifts I got for Christmas and he's proudly displayed on top of my TV in the living room.

I am in my office now, catching up on work and have the happiness of looking at my shelves where there is a babbling boo doll and a cast iron 4-car monorail replica, a Aragorn action figure (insert drooling smilile here!), stuffed leopard (my college mascot) and zebra and dragon. That's just at my office!

Yup - coloring books and crayons, especially at Christmas time.
I love to get a bottle of bubbles and blow them around the yard and house.

I also own all of Chris Van Allsburg books.

Why grow up?? I tried it for a few days - it's more fun this way.

Most adults I know LOVE toys. Does anyone remember the "Seinfeld" episode when Jerry and George fed Jerry's girlfriend a big turkey dinner so she would fall asleep and they could play with her toy collection? I think toys from our past act like "comfort food", and bring back some carefree childhood memories.
