I was just wondering if everyone eats before you leave for the parks. I'm figuring we have to leave POR by 6:30, so where do you get a bit to eat first thing? :cool1:

As you can see from my signature, POR was our favorite for many trips. On early entry days, we always ate cereal in our room. We bought milk and o.j. from the gift shop at the resort the night before and stored it in the fridge. I brought plastic bowls and spoons from home. It was great, then we were out the door by about 7:10 am to be on the buses by 7:15. Building 15 was wonderful for close access to everything, the food court, the main bldg. and a very quick walk to the bus stop. Be sure you get a building close to a bus stop or you'll be walking forever! Have a ball, you'll LOVE this resort.

When we do EE at AK we eat at the resort food court/counter service, before we leave.
When we do EE at MK we do Fantasyland and the Speedway then eat at the Main St Bakeshop, usually around 9:30.

We either eat cereal in the room, as suggested above, or we take poptarts and juiceboxes with us and eat them as we wait in line for the park to open. We like to get there very early, so eating breakfast in line gives us a way to pass the time more quickly---and allows us a bit more time to sleep in the morning!

We just did the 6:30 thing this week. I got my kids choc. milk or orange juice from the counter service at the hotel and they ate granola bars from home. I had coffee. No one was really ready for much since we'd only been awake 20 minutes. We'd go to MK, do an hour or two of rides, then get another light breakfast at Main St. Bakery. (It may have been open as soon as the park opened at7:00, but I never checked.) You could grab some pastries there and carry them along.

For us, this also depends on which park we're going to. If it's MGM, we won't eat anything before we go - we prefer to do RNRC & TOT on empty stomachs. ;) On some of our EMH mornings we get up & go, then have a snack or character breakfast a couple hours later after we've gotten some rides in. We also just grab a bite at the POP food court before we go, and have gotten many snacks at Main St. Bake Shop later in the morning. HTH! :teeth:

My boys aren't big breakfast eaters. If they're having a slow morning they like cereal in the room or pop tarts. Sometimes they have bagels or english muffins.

Now if they're on Main Street, we stop at the Bakery. :goodvibes

We rarely eat breakfast, with the EMH's we prefer to sleep in the extra few minutes. We'll grab a drink from our refrigerator to drink on the way to the park.

We do eat lunch as early as possible (11:00 - 11:30 a.m.)

It's easier to get PS, and the counter-serve locations aren't crowded yet. We then have the afternoon to walk off lunch and get ready for more calories at an early dinner 5:00 or 6:00 p.m.

We've found that for some strange reason, we don't have as much of an urge to snack when we're at the parks. Probably because of the large portions served at the restaurants.

We eat something in the room and then plan for a late Breakfast or early lunch in the parks. We almost never do EE outside the MK.

We always eat breakfast in our room, on EMH mornings or not. We bring dry cereal, bowls and utensils with us, and we buy milk at the resort gift shop. Saves money and time! :)
