Do you do this when you're within a week or two from your trip?

yes! And to take it one step further, once we return we play the "one week ago today we were swimming at--or riding on---or eating at----, blah, blah, blah! We still do that about our cruise which was 15 months ago!

Yep, I do that. The sad thing is that I do the reverse too. After a trip I will say, "yesterday I was at MK", last week I was on the friendship launch on my way to MGM", or whatever. It's really depressing

I'm doing it now and you can see how far DH and I are away from being in New Orleans. I do this every other day or so.... "Oh boy, I can taste that duck pizza at Emeril's restaurant Nola's!" or "I can't wait to be on that boat taking my cruise from the Aquarium to the Zoo!"

Yes, we do both, before and after each trip!!!

We do it more than that timeframe away. As soon as we have a trip planned, we start the countdown. Gives us something to look forward to.
