Do you "display" your pins?

Yes. I buy a pin display frame after every trip. We have a section for DH and my pins (normally special ones we've purchased) and then a section for each kid showing the ones they traded for or the special ones they purchased with their money. I love the way they look and when people come over the house, it's a nice conversation starter.

I'm actually thinking of making a shadow box type display this time. I'm going to "scrapbook it" with a cool Disney paper background glued to a piece of thin cardboard and stick my pins thru that. Maybe I'll also add a photo or two of our trip and some Disney emelishment stickers. What do you guys think of this idea? Anyone done something similar? Would love to see some pics!

I think this is an awesome idea. I like the idea of adding scrapbooking touches as well as some photos. I may borrow this idea from you.

there was another similar thread last year on the Dis.

we had a white eyelet cloth shower curtain that we pretty much filled the top half with about 400 pins. they were spaced nicely using the eyelet holes so no damage to the curtain. guests seemed to get a kick out of seeing all the pins.

also DTD WOD sells wooden shadow boxes with Mickey silouettes on the outside. looks nice with photos inside and a few pins relating to the photos.

we had considered taking a window screen like hardware stores sell for inserting in open windows and putting pins up on it and putting it up on an interior wall.

I love the canvas idea, too! Right now, most of my pins are in one of the pin collecting books, but I'd love to have them out where I can enjoy them every day.

Does anyone else wear theirs? I have several Mickey pins and some holiday pins that I will throw on my shirt and wear to work. They help keep me chipper throughout the day!

I saw this guy waiting in line at Peter Pan in May...

I don't scrapbook, but I have lots of ways I display my pins when I'm not at the parks:

I bought some magnetic pin backs a few years ago, and have some of my favorite pins stuck on my refrigerator (haven't seen these lately at the parks, but I honestly haven't looked very hard). I wear an ID lanyard at work, so my 'Mickey as an OSU Football player' pins are proudly displayed on that. I have a Disney bag - a fanny pack that I ONLY carry at WDW, and I bought locking pin backs to display my 'I'll never trade them' pins on it (I need a new bag, and am looking for the perfect, lightweight, solid color, sling over one shoulder like a messenger bag to display my keepers. I think I'll end up sewing something, though). I have one lanyard which is just for pins I want to trade, and I keep that IN the Disney bag (along with all my ticket media and maps). And the rest of my pins I keep on another lanyard, hanging over the corner of a shelf in my kitchen, where I can look at them every once in a while!

I second the art canvas, only we just painted it pink and then put the pins on it. We have them grouped by characters in little clusters. DD5 did most of the work and loves having her pins in her room!

My husband has been taking pictures that we have taken at Disney and put them in Frames and then put the pins in and around the pictures. We have them hung in our bedroom. I will try and get some pictures of these this evening and post them. They look really nice. We have purchased pin sets from Disney that we have on the wall also so are bedroom and bathroom have now become Disney Themed. :lovestruc

I took an old cork board, painted the frame, and covered the cork with fabric and trimmed it out with some ribbon. Stuck the pins on it and it now hangs in my hallway.

I have another HM one, another Tink one, Zero/NBC and a Pluto one too! I have a Tink holiday set on corkboard I have yet to frame.

Cut a piece of black felt to size behind it...
