It's hard to hear sarcasm through a computer screen. Just wanted to be clear. Do you read every thread and post a comment, whether you're interested in the topic or not? :confused3 I'm not trying to start a debate, just wondering.

For those of you who have posted about the actual topic, thank you. I enjoy reading your fun window decorating ideas. :flower:

Those pictures replace the need for hearing. The text typed on them shows the purpose of their use.

And no, i dont post a comment on every thread whether im interested or not!.

The solo purpose, for using pictures like these, is to spread some fun and make people laugh!.

Sorry, but i cant seem to be serious 24 hours a day, i like a good laugh!. :goodvibes

Aww, now I want to go down on a cool holiday to decorate.

How the heck do I decorate for Labor Day?...

I also would never have thought of decorating the windows or doors. I did think of leaving something on the window ledge but not on the window itself.

I'm going to be there for Labor Day too (Sept 3-10). So I need a lime green Mickey from Home Depot to put my Dis name on...okay gonna get it.

If anyone else has any good ideas for me post them or PM me. I'm in Canada so finding stuff up here to match your ideas might be hit and miss.

By the way, I really like the "Hey dingbat, THIS is your room"
idea on the door. The first couple of trips back to my room and I am never really sure until I double check room number. That's if I can remember the room number. :)

Are the doors at POP metal so you can use magnets. Also are people that are going before halloween in Oct. planing on decorating for halloween since MNSSHP will be going on. Just want to make sure were on board with most people with our decorating theme ;)

When I stayed at ASMu I always decorated my window. Now that my new resort home is POP I need to start on my new display.
Maybe someone on this thread can help, How wide is the window in a POP room?
The idea of posting your DIS name is something I think I can work into this years theme.

I have done window clings (made my own) for the windows and mirrors.

I get a bandana with a theme and place it on the balcony railing.
red/white/blue for July
red/green for Thanksgiving/Christmas
orange for October
It's easy to find your room from outside.

I bring disney bathroom cups and disney toothpaste.

Kids wear Disney pj's or x-large Disney themed t-shirts to bed.

just our idea's

We decorated our window last August in cbr. we had a sign in the window that said:
" GO AWAY CHARLEY"

We were also there when Charley went through. If I would have made a sign, my sign would of had some colorful words on it for Charley. First trip to Disney and Charley has to ruin the end of it. AAAHHH!!!

These couple of pictures show what we did to our room and windows at POFQ last year. We have Christmas trees that stay in their boxes all year and are shipped to our WDW resort to arrive about the time we do. Part of the fun our first night is decorating the trees together.

And last year added the candles in the window

Don't worry Denmark, I got your point and I thought it was funny  :)

I've never seen a window or door decorated at Disney. Guess I'll have to look harder next time. Personally I'd be cautious about decorating my door or window. We always close the curtains so people can't see if the room is occupied or not.

We had never decorated our room before this Christmas. We were doing a grand gathering with friends and they had their room decorated with lights and decorations in the window, a small Christmas tree and decorations on the door. They even brought Christmas presents since they were going to be there Christmas day. Well we were jealous. Fortunately they brought extra lights and ornaments and we quickly decorated our window. It really got everyone in the holiday mood.

This thread reminded me of the funniest thing I saw at PC last August. Lots of the rooms windows had scenes set up by the Mousekeepers using kids toys, etc. They were really cute.

Then, about 2 doors down from my room was a window with a tennis shoe (male), another tennis shoe (female), ramen noodles, and other misc. things from the room, arranged artfully!

I'm assuming the occupants of the room did it as a joke...and it was hilarious to me! LOL

We put Christmas lights up in the window last year during the holiday season - I loved it. It was such a nice part of the whole holidays at WDW and we plan to do it again this year.

I think I will put a sign on my door at the CR wing room next May that says

"GIDDYUP"

(it appeals to the "Kramer" in me :earseek: )

WOW!! that is awesome. I better think a bit more on what we are planning to do in Oct.

Does anyone know in POP if there is an outlet near the window or should we bring a extension cord to be safe.

All these ideas are cute! Maybe I'll put up a sign that says "TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY WEE" when its actually my birthday. Why yes, I have no shame :rotfl2: princess:

We always take extension cords. The only outlet close is under the table along the side wall of the room.

I guess we will have to leave the candle rings at home this year since we will be at WL with a balcony instead... :rotfl2:

One October trip, I decorated the windows with Halloween clings, and a banner that said "Happy Birthday Princess" because my DD turned 4 during our trip. Mousekeeping stopped by and sang to her one day. Very sweet.

Last trip, was an early December trip. I brought about 3 or 4 covers fromt he Disney catalog that were holiday themed and hung them in the window. My kids loved it - and so did I. I also brought a string of lights but never used them.

Next trip is early November (Jersey Week!)...amybe I'll bring a few Thanksgiving type of things. It's fun.

All trips, our kids toys and stuffed animals also decorate the window.

could someone who has stayed at POP please give me a good idea about the size of the window and also if it is divided.

thanks in advance. :)
