Do you cut and use coupons?

Oh, I am the Coupon Queen! No doubt about it.
I agree that they can be really useful for those on a budget.
I get them in our local paper, and also from my DMom
(who lives in a slightly different area than I do),
so it's fun to get coupons I would normally not see.
I especially love our BJ's Club because you can use coupons
there vs. Costco where you can't.
BJ's also lets you use however many coupons apply to whatever
packaged items you're buying - as long as the items could be sold individually,
i.e. 12 cans in a case of Campbell's soup = 3/40c coupons.
I love when the markets triple the coupons!!
Last week I got 3 items for free - whee!

Absolutely! I used to coupon like an addict when there were stores around here that doubled, but now I've cut back to a socially acceptable level of coupon use. :teeth:

We DEFINITELY use coupons!!! My DH works in a building where he gets TONS of coupons each week. I mean, like 50 of each coupon!!! When something goes on sale that we will use, we use EVERY coupon we have and get as many of that item as possible!!!

It takes DH a lot of time, but he cuts all the coupons he thinks we MIGHT use one day. He has a filing system. Then, he collects all of the supermarket circulars each week to see what's on sale. From cutting everything, he KNOWS what he has coupons for! We have double coupons up to 99 cents at most stores, except for King Kullen which doubles up to $1.00. Even then, we buy what's on sale. Most of the time, we walk out of there getting stuff for free! No joke, on every receipt, we save at least 80% of the bill!!!!!! It's VERY time consuming, but so worth it. When I see my cupboards and freezer stocked, knowing that we paid next to nothing for he stuff is even better!

I know that feeling! I bought shampoo and conditioner not too long ago. They were on sale for Buy 1 Get 1 Free. Then I had a coupon off if you bought 2, which the store doubled. When I sat down later on, I realized I actually MADE 10 cents off the deal!! :rotfl:

Absolutely. I can't really fathom why anyone wouldn't. I also make my grocery list in conjunction with that week's sale flier. I paid $87 this week; my total savings from store specials and coupons was $68. Believe me I was happy not to be paying $155.

occasionally, but since most of our shopping is done at Costco, we don't have the need for them. We do use the ones that Costco sends us in the mail.

This is the organizer that I use ( I would love the new leather one I have the old cloth version)

Its great because it comes with a magnetized shopping list that coordinates with the files in the organizer. So you put it on your fridge, make your list, then you have everthing you need in one place.
ETA: hey they even have a LIME green one for all you serious Disers :) :rotfl: :rotfl:

Not as much as before.

I used to buy things because they were cheap or free, especially since we have double coupons here.

I want to be healthier and so I rarely use coupons for foods or products because there are never any coupons for things I do buy, like organic shampoo and toothpaste, brown rice, and such. I also changed our lifestyle in general. Instead of eating boxed cereal we eat mostly oatmeal or make homemade foods or instead of drinking regular milk we buy organic.

It's an investment in our health and I make adjustments in our budget to be able to afford it.

Health and fitness are my priorities now. :wizard:

Always. Our store doubles up to 99cents plus they take the competing stores coupons in their ads, I am using one today for $10 off a $75 purchase. With 3 teen boys there is always lots in my cart each week.

Yes, I do.

Where is everyone getting all of these coupons? We only get a few in our Sunday paper.
