Do you currently live where you grew up?

I spent the first 23 years of life in 1 town, 2 different houses. I then got married and moved about 15 minutes away, 2 towns away. Less than 4 years later we found a new house being built 1/2 mile around the corner from my parents house(where I lived from age 15-23), and bought it. So, yes, Im pretty close to home. ;)

Born on the south side of Chicago, grew up on the south side, ( Go WHITE SOXs).. moved to Kansas for 5 years and now I am back in the NW suburbs of Chicago. My parent s, siblings, DH's family are 20 minutes away.

I live in the same town that I was born in (Husband too), within 3 miles of both of our pre-marriage homes.
When we first married we moved about 1 hour away and had our son. We lived there about 7 years, moved back "home" when our son was 3 and I was pregnant with our daughter.
We wanted to live in a smaller town for our children and to be closer to our families again.

Yes. I live in the same town I grew up in. About 5 minutes away from the house I grew up in...

Nope. We don't even live in the same state the cats were born in anymore. :teeth: DH grew up in PA, I grew up in NJ, we both went to college in VA, have been stationed in VA and Mississippi, and will be stationed in Oklahoma and Washington this year. Yay military!

No, but I do live 45 minutes away from it...not too far at all.

My dad was in the military, so I moved from the place I was born when I was 6 months old. I married into Navy, so I am still moving 34 years later. Mom and dad figured it up a few months ago. They moved a total of 22 times and I can add 6 more to that.....and I am in the process of my first overseas move. WOO HOO!!!!! I don't have to do the lifting and packing on this one :D

I have lived in the same home for the past 59 years. We moved here from across the street when I was two years old.

We bought the house from my parents in 1973 and have made several major renovations.

I do not like the winters, but there is still no place like New Hampshire!

I grew up in NJ and I now live in PA, a little over an hour from where I grew up. I moved to PA when I got married this summer. My husband lived here, I lived in NJ, so one of had to move!

I lived less then five minutes from the house I grew up in. I bought a house in the same neigborhood. It's easy to get everything.

I still live on the same street that I grew up in, different house. We literally moved three doors down. There are three additional houses on my street that are owned by my father's siblings, nieces, and nephews. My dad is one of nine kids, and all but one of them stayed in this city. I can reach about 90% of my relatives on that side of the family within a five minute car ride.

I moved ALOT growing up, but always in about a 50 mile radius. I'm still in the same area, I'm very close to my mom, so I don't see myself moving any time soon.

I live 3 miles from the home I grew up in (but in a different town, and a different county. My parents still live in that house, but will soon be moving. Rather than living 3 miles north of me, they will soon be living 3 miles west of me. Both of my sisters and their DH's live within 2 miles of my house. My DH's family still lives in the same house where he was raised - 6 miles north of our home.

Being this close to our original areas, and near our families, it makes the holidays VERY easy. No travelling for us!

::yes::

After a few years of moving and now we are back with two kids and across town from where the family home still is....

My parents still live there, 57 years later and 5 kids later..
9 grandkids and 4 great grandkids..

I always you to say, oh how boring, now I am glad, we love it here!

:wave2:

ahhh the magic of aging....

:hyper:

I live in a completely different part of the country from where I grew up. :teeth:

I live thousands of miles away from where I grew up. DH is in the military and our home is where he is stationed. 11 months and a couple of weeks and he will be retiring and God willing we will finally be moving back "home" where we grew up.

We live about 15 minutes away from my parents home where I grew up. We are 30 minutes from where hubby grew up but his parents have actually recently moved away:(

I too, live thousands of miles from where I grew up!
I was born in NJ moved to FL when I was 9.
And when I was 19 I moved all by my self to Aberdeen,Scotland and then 3 years later moved to Bath where I met my french husband from Montmartre, We divide our time equally between these 2 beautiful towns we call home.

I don't think i will ever move back to the US as I have been here 15 years now and feel more european then most europeans, so I don't think I would fit in and plus and love every second of it here (even the rain!).

I live in the next town over (only 5 min away)from where I grew up. My dad still lives in the house I grew up in. Some day I hope to move away but for now this is where we will stay.
