In general, I am a blubbering mess in the MK. I try (unsuccessfully) to hide it from the family, who think I am a bit Disney-nuts. I first went to WDW in 1972 when I was four. The MK was my dad's happy place. We went about every other year after that until I became an ungrateful teen and was too cool to visit the mouse. My dad used to talk about retiring to FL and working on the steam train in MK. He had worked the Pennsylvania RR when he was younger and loved trains. He died in 1993 before he got a chance to retire.
So, I well up over anything that is remotely nostalgic. The worst offenders are the MSEP (by far the worst - I have been known to cry from lights out to the end - I don't even need to hear the music, the lights just need to go out), Main Street, fireworks, the monorail, the ferryboat, and the water pageant. We are staying at the Poly for the first time in August, and I fully expect to snuffle my way through check-in. The CM's will think I'm insane, but my dad liked to go there and hang out in the tropical lobby as we always visited over July 4th when it was hot and crowded.
