Do you cry when you get to WDW?

MK first time every trip = a little teary.

My dad and I shared WDW as our special thing (and continue to) and it makes me feel like a little kid. I also feel the weight of everything back home lift off and I go into true vacation-mode, which makes me happy enough to cry tears of joy too!

In general, I am a blubbering mess in the MK. I try (unsuccessfully) to hide it from the family, who think I am a bit Disney-nuts. I first went to WDW in 1972 when I was four. The MK was my dad's happy place. We went about every other year after that until I became an ungrateful teen and was too cool to visit the mouse. My dad used to talk about retiring to FL and working on the steam train in MK. He had worked the Pennsylvania RR when he was younger and loved trains. He died in 1993 before he got a chance to retire.

So, I well up over anything that is remotely nostalgic. The worst offenders are the MSEP (by far the worst - I have been known to cry from lights out to the end - I don't even need to hear the music, the lights just need to go out), Main Street, fireworks, the monorail, the ferryboat, and the water pageant. We are staying at the Poly for the first time in August, and I fully expect to snuffle my way through check-in. The CM's will think I'm insane, but my dad liked to go there and hang out in the tropical lobby as we always visited over July 4th when it was hot and crowded.

Nope, but I understand. I cry every time I am so fortunate as to set my feet down in Alaska.

Bring on the tissues! I get teary eyed when I book the trip. We have a surprise trip in November and I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it.

I cried the first time I saw Wishes. For many years when my son was younger I struggled financially. I mean like I had to figure out if I should pay the rent or the electric because I couldn't do both, so there was no chance of going to Disney (or on any vacation). Standing there on Main Street with my son was like a dream come true. It represented so much for me. I still get choked up when I see Wishes.

Seeing the Osbourne lights for the first time also made me cry.

Disney magic just touches my heart in a way that's very hard to explain.
That is so true. I get choked up a lot just witnessing the magic other people are experiencing. Outside of Disney I'm not a very emotional person.

count me in... and pass the tissues. Lots of little things can bring it on, but mainly that first full-on look at the castle from Main Street. Or maybe it is Main Street itself. In any case, I am just so happy to be there, every single time.

And yes, I want to sob uncontrollably as we walk out of the gates on our final night. I don't, but I really, REALLY want to.

I start to choke when I hear Jimmie cricket during wishes, and the Nemo show, and holiday wishes and when I step off the plane:)
