This is why many stores are going to a restocking fee for items returned. i know my Target when I bought my digital camera said there would be a 10% restocking fee to return it if I didn't return it for another camera or if it wasn't broken upon purchase. Best Buy had the same sort of thing when I bought a video camera there. They just didn't want people using them on vacation and bringing them back. It hurts you if you see same camera at another store cheaper or just a better camera at another store. I do think it is fair to charge the restocking fee though.
But it still works.

Was it REALLY worth it? You can't return it when YOU ruin it!
