Say you're leaving a restaurant (or any public place for that matter). You open the exit door, walk through the door but you politely hold it with one hand so it doesn't close on the person behind you. But the person behind you is part of a family of 5 or 6. Do you consider it rude when not one person in that family offers to take the door from you? This happened to me today. I was kind of in a hurry but didnt want the door to slam in the face of the person behind me, so I held it open, only to see every person in her party walk out, make no offer to take the door from me, and to make matters worse not one of them even said thank you. It was like they were in their own little world and I was some kind of doorman.
And boy were they walking slowly.
