Do you collect Disney merch? What's in your house right now? Regrets?

I used to purchase a new mug every trip but stopped doing that. I have quite a collection of antenna balls but those don't appear to be a thing anymore, since most cars don't have antennas. I also have quite a few pins.

I haven't purchased any collectables the past few trips. In fact my trip in May 2024 I forgot to even go shopping. The only thing I bought, aside from food, was a Tiki Mug from Trader Sams.

I used to collect Disney pins too. My husband is a woodworker and also has a business on Etsy for wooden bowls, etc. He designed a bowl for me and inlayed my favorite pins into oval recessed spaces, covered with clear epoxy. I love this bowl and love looking at my favorite pins. I think making shadowboxes would be perfect

I also collected Christmas ornaments each year and now have enough for a Disney tree. However, when we last visited, the ornaments all seemed to be the same which is a shame.

AGREED! I haven't bought one at Disney for years....There Is nothing NEW or UNIQUE anymore. The one I did see a couple years ago was the big Santa Mickey ear shaped ornament...it was $40...bought the same thing last year at TJs for $8!

I had to thin out my mugs and I still have some cute antenna balls but no antenna. Can't bring myself to get rid of them, though!

I forgot about the mugs from Trader Sam's. I have 3 of those, I think, including the Tikitikitikitikitiki rum bowl & the shark one. They sit in a cupboard in a box. The problem with TS's is that after drinking one of those things, my defenses are down and I happily buy the stupid collector's mug that will likely sit in my bar in its box until I die.

We have 3 of Jeremy Fulton's signed and framed artwork in my husband's bourbon bar. I wish Disney would bring back his New Orleans print. We missed out on getting that one. If I can get a good pic of the loft with the artwork, I will post it later.

You know, I recall you mentioning that once before maybe, I think it was you...and it got me all excited and I looked up how to do it on google...and then promptly forgot about it and went on to some other project...but that is a really good idea! I probably have two books full of pennies and one of quarters.

the Olszewski light boxes from the Gallery of Light Collection. I have about 5 of them. I want more but every time I go to the parks I don’t see the ones I really want. I think he’s not making them anymore? I need to research more… I adore them.

Pandora charms. Newer one is Sleeping Beauty’s castle, I think it’s from the 70th collection? I’m wearing it on a necklace vs on my bracket with all my others charms

pins. Not a huge collection but they’re real cute on a cork board with the silhouette of the castle. I tend to go for Peter Pan, Walt, the castle, real classic nostalgic ones.

the “you are here” and “I was there” Starbucks mugs. As well as other mugs from the parks. My husband says we have too many. He does like the way the Starbucks ones stack and every night we use those to drink our tea.

for a moment I was buying a new bottle of perfume every time I went to Disneyland. Not really a “collection” exactly but a practice so that each time the scent brought me back to that trip. But then I got stuck on Guerlains Aqua Allegoria collection. The Orange Soleia to be exact. I picked that because of the orange groves Disneyland was built on, of course! And now I’m stuck on it

a new evolving collection: tiki mugs. I have a classic Trader Sam’s one. And in July I got the mermaid lagoon tiki mug. But this collection isn’t just for Disneyland tiki mugs because I have the Tonga Room (San Fransisco) in there as well as a tropical bird one that is from Tiki Iniki on Kauai

Oh, I am getting so many good ideas! I like the idea of the small corkboard display...I sold off all my pins years ago but I might want to get a few old favorites of the classics and put together something like that. Thanks!

On the topic of LoungeFlys, neither my wife or I have really cared all that much about them, until I saw this.

I may or may not be getting a LF for our next trip to the parks. Because you know what fits perfectly in a LF? A Costco rotisserie chicken.
