How do you work in harmony when scheduled together?

We didn't work in harmony at all. It wasn't until it was actually making me physically sick dealing with her that I asked my manager to be transferred to another department and had to explain why.
Now, all of a sudden my co-worker is at least being civil, and sometimes even friendly. I'm sure they had a meeting with her, but haven't asked.

There is a guy here who is very generous and kind. But he is extremely difficult to work with. Even his voice grates on my nerves. Luckily he is leaving the company is another month so my sanity is saved.

Me and one of my co-workers don't really care for each other. She has a totally different work ethic - she feels like she only has to do what is in her job description, she comes in late leaves early, on business/family trip she tried to have us pay for practically all of it and didn't report her vacation time. I just try not to talk to her too much only if I have to.

I used to until they demoted her and moved her to a different department for inappropriate conduct and ethical violations.

Her (our) boss was fired, and her (our) bosses boss was transferred to a different department for allowing her to do a bunch of the stuff she was doing and not being an astute enough manager to see what was happening in plain view.

The only reason the coworker wasn't fired was she would have possibly had cause for a lawsuit, even though she was the cause of the problem to begin with. It was a big mess.

I had to work with a woman who was truly dumb as dirt. My jaw spent a lot of time on the floor with all the bizarre things she came out with. It was very frustrating. There wasn't really anything I could do about it, other than try to avoid and unnecessary contact with her.

It did make for lively dinner conversation at home in the evenings.....the adventures of XXXXX and her pathetic attempts at striving for adequacy.

no, we all wear uniforms so are cloth all match

Jason, I bet you are sexy in your uniform.

I had to work for someone that I couldn't stand. I just put on a happy face when I had to talk to her, but I was not sincere in the least. Fortunately, I got laid off. I know that made her day. Then she got laid off, and that made mine. Nasty? Sure but she was the worst person to be a supervisor/manager. No people skills at all, and always acting like she was above everyone. Even to the point of telling me she was pushing her work "down" to me, because she just had so much to do. She who supervised me, while I supervised 24 and managed the office of 70.

I have 2 coworkers in 2 different departments that like to play mind games with everyone. I just look at them and smile and pretend they don't bother me.:) That irritates them enough that they don't come in my office too often.:teeth:

I know plenty of ways to get back at them :rolleyes1

For the most part we get a long, politically we are very different and that gets annoying sometimes because in a debate, there is literally no one else here to take my side, but I don't really care.
Life is not all about politics. My department and I have other things in common.

We used to have one but she was recommended to find another job! (It is very hard to sack someone in our profession.) She eventually clashed with everyone at our place of work. She was great for sucking up to people above her and then making comments to the bosses about other people just to cause trouble. Several official complaints were made about her but she was (by this point) best friends with the boss so nothing was done. Eventually though she stepped over the mark (she kept going against the bosses wishes and kept doing things with out the bosses permission. Then she tried to make out that the boss was not doing her job correctly.) Finally the boss figured out what she was like (something everyone else had known for 3 years) so she found another job. We have since found out though that she had to leave her next job for similar reasons!
When I worked with her I was polite to her and remained professional in all that I did with her. However I didn't speak to her unless I had to. Unlike some members of staff I stood up to her (she was a big bully) so she didn't really pick on me too much. It helped at out place that almost everyone else didn't like her either.
