Do you check for Dings while in WDW?

Just wondering if people check for return trip Dings while in WDW. If we're going to be there Sunday-Friday, is there any chance we'd get a last minute Ding just a few days out? And if you don't have a laptop, what's the easiest way to check for Dings? TIA!
