Do You Carry Cash?

I carry a small amount in my wallet but it's not something I usually pay with. More often it goes with the kids. I try to ahve some on hand for things like for when the ToothFairy visits, or when the kids need to pick something up at the school bookstore (like yesterday child #3 needed to buy a recorder...my ears!), or for spending money after a game.

nope- I carry a phone with the little pouch on the back for my license and credit card. If I go out to dinner with friends one will pay and the rest of us just venmo our portions to the person that paid.

Always. Always insist DH does. Always remind DD's to have some.
I'm old. Have numerous tech and cards but cash is king.
At Disney, always need for tips especially.

no and if I need cash I used my virtual BofA card on my phone and hit up an ATM. I live and work in Chicago - there's always of BofA machine nearby.

I carry some cash on me. Some smaller businesses I shop at charge fees to pay with debit or credit if under a certain threshold as the fees they incur eat almost all the profit on small balances.

Usually around $30 or $40. I try to use a credit card for every purchase and only use cash when getting food with friends, going to a cash only restaurant or going to an amusement park where I know I will need cash for the arcade.

Yes, some. I don't like to carry a lot of cash around, but I do prefer it for small purchases. I like to be sure I have some in my purse and some in the house, so I'm not scrambling when I need it.

Usually no, but I want to be the type of person that always has a little. Our favorite donut shop is cash only, and in the opposite direction of a convenient ATM so we don't want to wake up and say, "Let's get donuts" and have to work to get them. Plus, I've been getting fast food when they say "their CC processing is down." Luckily, those times I did have enough cash to cover it. But I don't want to get stuck. Plus, random weekend garage sales in the summer.

I keep cash at home. I don't carry my wallet with me when I leave the house, I only bring my phone which has a slot for my driver's license, one credit card and $20 cash. I usually have about $5 in the car as well

I rarely carry cash, but we keep a few thousand dollars cash tucked away in our safe.

So this will sound contradictory but yes and no? Yes, because I carry a small amount as an emergency -- meaning I never touch it unless I absolutely have to. No, for regular spending.

I used to almost never have cash on me. I recently got a part time job where I get paid daily, in cash.
