Do you carry a backpack, too?

When out kids were young we carried a backpack. When the 2 youngest were around 8, the kids all had their own fanny pack with snacks. At 11 or 12, we stopped bringing bags and everyone had a refillable waterbottle on a strap. Now that the two youngest are 21, we don't carry a bag unless we are there in the winter and my son is going to insist on a ride that will get us wet. Even then, we bring a beach bag in with dry shoes and socks and stuff it in a locker.

I carry a backpack that I got in the little girl section at Target. It's only about 8 inches long and is covered with pink ice cream cones, but it has plenty of room for wallet, camera, small hairbrush, bandaids, and lipstick (I know it's vacation, but I can't live without my lipstick princess: ). It's small enough that I don't even feel it.

We do a backpack with no purse but a small camera bag. I keep money, my wife's phone, and camera in the camera bag and bring it on rides. We have a hook on the stroller for the backpack. Being an avid runner, one thing no one usually thinks to put in there is a new pair of socks (if you are going for an all dayer). It's unbelievable. It's like putting on new feet.

I prefer to have nothing buy my lanyard and cards but if we are going to be out all day in the heat I take a small back pack for water, sun tan lotion etc and if we are likely to get wet or its a bit cooler at night I will either pack ponchos or a jumper.

I carry a camera bag. I have been thinking of adding a fannypack (too many lenses....).

We go bagless. Cargo pants for everyone, can even manage without a diaper bag when we have the babies along. every once in a while we add a carabiner for water. Love not doing bag check, never worry about stuff being left behind or stolen, and no one has ti be the carrier!

I have a fanny pack (don't judge me!) to carry tickets, money, phone, and GAC. I have a backpack for sunscreen, snacks & extra clothes.

I have a small fanny pack for my money, tickets, phone, etc. We take a small backpack for snacks, sunscreen, etc. My fanny pack came with a kids luggage set so it's small and I bought the backpack in the baby dept at Walmart.

DH carries carries a backpack with our camera , sunscreen, Chapstick, hairbrush, cellphones & sweatshirts for chilly mornings/evenings.

I have a diaper bag that goes on bottom of stroller with diapers, wipes, extra clothes, kids snacks, sunscreen, etc.

My hubby carries our insulated backpak and I carry the one with all the "stuff" and the DSLR camera. I have the tickets, my wallet, my cell, autograph books, pens, antibacterial gel, and lots of other little stuff in my knapsack. Hubby's backpack has an extra pocket that we put the sunscreen in.

Our first 2 trips we carried a bag, but on the last one we went bagless and that's how we'll go from now on.

All we really need are our KTTW cards, a few kleenex and a couple of Tylenol. I also carry a lip balm in my pocket. We never once wished we had something else with us.

I have a mini backpack that I used last trip, but I would love to go hands free next time! I have a lanyard for my cards and id, etc. just not sure what to do about my camera. Would love to be able to bypass bag checks :)

Family backpack for us too. Have not figured out a good way to go bag free given the amount of stuff we like to have with us.

Slingsak, like the Patagonia bag PP described. Good amount of room, hands free.

I like to have my things with me! But on days we go over the Universal, no bag (because for many rides there no bags are allowed), and it is very freeing to have no bag...but we only go to Uni for few hours. And I eventually miss my stuff.

For the past couple of trips I have carried this bag. It fits cards, phone, point and shoot camera, mini first aid kit (bandaids, neosporin spray, bandaid friction stick), sunglasses, tissues, etc.

I am hoping this will still work when we don't have a stroller with us. My only real concern is the ponchos. That is really the only thing we keep in the bottom of the stroller.

got my husband a cross body sling back pack so that I wouldn't have to carry anything. Usually I am the one that carries everything in a cross the body purse but when we were in Europe last year it was feeling like a ton of bricks after awhile. He said he'd be willing to carry things for this trip.

We will be carrying:

  • My pills
  • Blister prevention
  • Sun tan lotion
  • Camera
  • Antibacterial hand wipes
We have no kids, so we can travel light. I'll probably ask my husband if he can put my license, KTTW and Disney Visa card (for discounts) in his wallet.

I carry a mini-hipster with my wallet, son's inhaler and Benadryl, camera, cell phone, a few trading pins and a pen. My oldest dd carries a sling bag with her wallet, meds, rain ponchos, epi pens (hers and ds), and autograph books/pens. Even when the kids were babies we travelled very light - taking only the minimal amount of diapers/wipes, bottle/sippy and an extra outfit. If the kids want something like a stuffed animal or toy then they have to carry it. We will probably not even do the autograph books this trip (they are 9 and 11) because they didn't seem interested in getting the autographs last time and refused to stand in line for characters.
