Do you buy ornaments when on vacation?

Sometimes we do.

Every yr. we pick out an ornament which represents our year (each of us). Our tree is also a timeline of our life through the yrs.

Right now I need another tree. We have reached max.

We always get ornaments in Disney - its my favorite part of the shopping there (not into wearing a MM clothes), and I spend most of my money in the Christmas store in DTD. Our tree is not almost all Disney, other than a few ornaments that are special to us.

I would never think to get orniments anywhere else on vacation.

Yep. I get a dated one each year at WDW and usually a personalized one for dd, as well. I also pick them up when we travel to other locations. My current favorite is one I got in London that says, "Mind the Gap."

I do this as well - and restrict to blown glass ornaments as much as possible. I have the '4 parks' set from WDW (Epcot Ball, HS Hat, MK Castle and AK Tree) in blown glass as well as a personalized one for DS. I have a Lobster from our trip out East and other which I love. I think for me this is a great souvenir! The only other souvenir I purchase is a Pin every trip which has something specific about that particular trip.

I do buy them on our cruises. It's fun to hang them on the tree and remember each of the cruises. But normally I don't look for Christmas ornaments on other trips. I should though, it's a good idea.

I buy an ornament almost every place we go. Darn it, now I am bummed though because I forgot to buy one when we went on vacation in Sept . Guess Ill have to make up for that soon lol, Ill just plan a weekend to Destin soon so I can get an ornament. ; )

I am not real big into souvenirs when we go on vacation but I love to buy Christmas ornaments. I have 2 trees and love the Disney tree!

Yes, many we've collected while traveling some 48 states and also from islands we've crusied . I also collect mugs and DH does baseball caps!

Our tree is about 95% Disney. WDW is the only place we make a point to purchase ornaments from. Come to think of it, WDW is about the only place we go any more

Yes. I love to get ornaments each time I go somewhere new so I can have fun remembering the trips every year when the tree goes up. It doesn't even have to be a "real" ornament, either; I've gotten some really cute keychains that work just as well.

I've bought a bunch of ornaments at Disney. I only got one this past trip though, Tinker Bell with a candy cane.

yes, only disney ones. everyone that comes to my house knows that i'm a disney freak and they arent surprised that my christmas tree is disney.

Yes, in fact, they're pretty much all we buy on vacation. I always had "travel collections" growing up. I collected dolls, silver charms and glass animals from the places I would visit. I also have pins from every place I ever skied. When DH and I started taking vacations together I decided that ornaments would be our thing. Someday, we hope to have a "travel tree" of all the ornaments we've picked up on our travels. This past trip (17 day car trip West) we came home with 10 ornaments, thousands of photos, and not much else.

Real ones, no -- too pricey, and we don't put any breakables on our tree.
We buy keychains that will do the same job for a lot less money.

We have a whole set of rubber Disney characters that peek out of our tree.

always. i usually buy two souvineers - an ornament for the tree and something small for my shadow box. i've had my shadow box for over 30 years and my travels are well documented in it and on my tree.

I've bought some ornamnents, esp Disney.

We started buying fridge magnets from everywhere we go. It's fun to walk by the fridge and see little reminders of all the thing we have been lucky enough to do.

Always-it is great fun to pull them out each year and reminisce. I bought a bunch at Mount Vernon in June-I hope I remember where I put them . I know they have a website and you can order from the website if you still want to get some.
