Do you buy new clothes for.....

Um, yes. ;) I like to get customs made for the girls to reflect each day's theme. My mom sews, so I can design a few ideas for her to actually make; I have a friend who does a wonderful job sewing, and she helps too. I also shop on Etsy and Ebay.
I do the same thing.

I bought all new outfits for our May 09 trip. I feel that for our April trip that a lot of the things still fit dd8...I may have to buy a couple of shirts for her but nothing major.

I did announce that I will be buying us each a new swimsuit for this trip. So that is probably the most I will need to get.

I am just happy I don't "outgrow" my clothes...dd8 does well enough for the both of us.

I've bought many clearance shirts and dresses from Disney outlet online $3-7 bucks for my girls:cool1:, but I love shopping at the florida outlets too:thumbsup2

Just wondering how many of you buy new clothes for you upcoming trips to WDW? I went out yesterday and bought a couple of outfits for our trip in April. I happened to go to Ross and found some summer/ spring clothes but no luck for the others in the family the stores haven't really started to stock it yet. I try to by as far in advance as possible to help not to spend so much $ the month we leave, any of you run it to this problem too?

Nope, I have never boght new clothes just for a disney trip.

I'm going to buy myself some new shirts for our trip in April, I'll be looking for shirts that button up or have V-necklines that will be easy for nursing. I'm hoping that my shorts will fit by then, but I might have to buy some new shorts also.

I have a whole bunch of Disney shirts that I usually wear, but I'm putting them aside this trip for nursing convenience. I'm hoping that DS will be nursing less during our trip in Oct when he is 11 months old, and I'll be able to bring out my Disney shirts again.

We don't usually buy new clothes for our disney trip unless there is something we need such as tank tops or some type of clothing that we think we would need or be more comfortable in at disney. We usually end up buying new clothes at disney.

I was giggling when reading your post title. If it weren't for vacations, I wonder how many new spring and summer clothes I'd really have? I get the kids some new things for spring break, as now is the time I discover they've outgrown some shorts and tops and swimsuits. I always get a new swimsuit (even though it may be too cool for me in March) and maybe some capris and a top.

To me, it's part of the fun of getting ready for a vacation, plus you feel nice in a new outfit, don't you? I like to look nice on vacation (not fancy, but definitely nice) so I always try to do my hair color also right before we go.

It's easier to do it bit by bit for a couple of months ahead of time, as last year in December (oh, well 2008) we went to Disney and I discovered the day before that both my kids needed a sweatjacket, plus my DD needed shorts and a couple of tees, so I ordered from Hanna Andersson online and had it shipped directly to the resort overnight (it was in our room that afternoon that we arrived). I did have to pay about $30 or so total for shipping, but the clothes were needed and worn the whole trip, so it was worth it. I was glad to have done that!

Kids outgrow stuff way too quickly!

Yep. DD6 gets all new outfits that I make. DD14, dh and I get all new shirts to wear that I make too! No Disney this year....what will I do? :)

Yes! If you buy custom outfits, where do you get them? I need 7 for both of my daughters and I don't know where to look (other than ebay and etsy).

I've always gotten all of my girls custom Disney clothes off of Ebay and all of the outfits I posted were from Ebay. If you want specific sellers, just PM me and I will send them to you.

We usually buy new clothes, yes, but then we go after school is out for the year, and would end up buying new clothes for the summer anyway.

I just sew customs for our entire family.

We always buy new clothes for Disney too. Coming from Seattle, we don't have a need for too many summer style clothes, therefore, the kids outgrow the ones they have and don't have enough for the entire length of our stay. I have to say I'm getting a little nervous, because we leave in April and I have not seen any summer clothing out yet. I try to buy in advance so it's not such a huge expense before we leave, but it looks like I'll end up having to do just that! I cannot WAIT for APRIL! :-)

PrincessTiffany,

You ROCK! The best part is your kids will remember this forever. That is a very unique and special thing to do for them. My favorites: Snow White and the Animal Kingdom outfits! Fantastic!

Funny, I was going to ask a question almost like this. I am getting some personalized things from Etsy and a local girl who appliques for my daughter. My son is too old for appliques and monograms, so I'm getting him so shirts from the Disney Store. The only theme-ish thing I'm doing is on the day they go to the Pirate League.

Thank you! They really do like the outfits and it's so fun!

I always get new items for the family. Crocs, sneaks, t's, polos...I want everyone to have coordinated colors, such as neutrals at AK, brights at MK, HS.. I am big on pics so when the family has similar color scheme the photos look so much nicer. I did this even when the kids were young and wearing all the character clothes. This time it includes a new tote , swimsuit and coverup for me. I even get the new lipstick and nail polish for the trip! Fun for me!
