I'm working on sorting/organizing stuff for our trip in 2 weeks. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Do you all pack your own beach towels for the pool or does the hotel provide nice large towels for pool use?

The hotel provides nice big towels at the pool, at least they do at the Poly.

Save the room in your suitcase. Each Disney resort will provide towels for you at the pool. Enjoy. :cool1:

I bring my own towels for the pool. It make it easier to find my spot after getting out on the water. I like to wrap up in a towel on the way back to the room, I just hang it over the closet bar or over the shower, I have also thrown them in the dryer for 15 mins before we leave so I'm not dragging wet towels home.
I know this sound strange but they have a funny smell to them like they are damp and not dryed all the way, with the humidy here I sure that adds to the smell.

We'll be at the Wilderness too (Villas though) in 12 days! I am bringing my own towels because we are going to the water park. Plus I have Disney towels. We are driving though so we have the space. If I was flying I probably wouldn't if I couldn't fit them.

Wilderness provides nice fluffy pool towels. Unless you are driving and want to bring your own, I would not pack pool towels.

I bring my own but not fot the pool for the water parks. The hotels are just average size at the pool not like regular beach towels.

Using your own towels at the pool makes you look like a tourist.

Many of us just grab pool towels to take to the water parks also.

We used to bring our own but now that airlines are charging for luggage we use the pool towels and save room in our suitcases. As you can tell you have to bring your own towel or rent them at the water parks. We just bring our room towels when we go to one of the water parks.

We don't bring our own. WL provides tons of towels at the Pool. They aren't quite as big as normal beach towels but they work just fine and it's one less thing to have to pack.

And in the resorts where there aren't towels at the pool, just call housekeeping for extra towels and take the ones from your room to the pool and bring them back to your room when you are done.

It saves us tons of space now that we don't mess with our own beach towels.:thumbsup2

We bring our own...I agree that it makes it easier to find our things when we get out of the water

We recently stayed at the POLY and I brought a few cheesy pool towels just in case, but they weren't necessary. Plenty of towels by the volcano pool and it is permissable to bring them to the room. Only 'gotcha' is after 9 PM when the lifeguards go off duty, the towels are still available, but somewhat inaccessible, so plan accordingly.

we take our own but we drive so luggage space isn't that big of a deal

plus, we have Disney themed beach towels so we HAVE to bring them, ha ha

We drive and have plenty of room, but will not be bringing our beach towels anymore. Even if you hang them over the clothes rack, they will not dry thoroughly. As a previous poster mentioned they will smell. It has everything to do with the humidity.
