Do You Bring A Room Scent?

As someone who travels quite frequently, it is very RARE to get a hotel bathroom with a fan. As for WDW hotel rooms, I also frequent those pretty frequently and MOST do not. That timer thing in the bathroom is NOT an exhaust fan.

I bring an inexpensive Glade cone-style air freshener for the bathroom, and toss it when we go home. They don't last longer than a few days no matter what the label says, and it's not a spray that could leave residue. Usually by the end of the week it's dried out and the smell never seemed to go beyond the bathroom anyway. We especially do this for cruises because sometimes there is a septic odor that goes beyond what my DH causes!:lmao:

I carry a small travel size Febreze for the bathroom.....but I think that's different then having a whole room spray or candle going, or a plug in...etc. It's come in handy....once my son got thrown up on during a trip with friends. While he changed clothing he still had to bring all that stinky clothing and shoes home with us from his trip. Glad I had my Febreze travel spray and it was a good day to roll down the windows.

Nothing plug in but we bring a small bath and body air fresher spray for " bathroom" use. Sometimes the fan isn't enough.

This is what we do too.

i also bring a little febreeze can. it just freshens the room, for some reason it always smells stale. or maybe im just imagining that the room has sat empty all year waiting for me:thumbsup2

We just got back from our stay in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I actually forgot to back my scented gel from Pier1 so I found this little scent thing from Yankee Candle.

It is made of rubber and had a suction cup on the back. I put it right on the mirror and it gave off a very subtle scent.

Oh and I just wanted to say, I did see a can of Febreeze on the housekeepers cart!.......:confused3. Someone posted awhile back that Disney resorts do not spray scent in the room. I. Still say they do!!

Hope everyone has a great trip!:thumbsup2

I didn't realize when I started this thread that is was going to still be going on a few weeks later. We leave in 6 days and I got a gel Febreeze Square (Hawaiian Breeze scent). I plan on only removing part of one side to have a small scent around and if more is needed or if it dries up fast I will remove more little by little as needed.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one that brings these. Yes, I agreed that a plug in would be more of a pain to tote back and forth vs. a $2.00 square I can toss when we are done with it.

Febreeze air effects and coordinating plug in! I never spray the fabrics BTW just spray the room before bed and before we leave and again when we return. It just makes the room refreshing.

I am not trying to attack you, but my answer is no, no, no.
Having a family full of allergies, and myself, who gets a migraine from every scented thing and everyone's perfume, it would make us all ill if we had that room after you.
I would plead for those of us with scent sensitivity to please remember us and not scent up a room for the next person!

To be honest it never crossed my mind to bring a room scent. I try to pack lightly so to me that is just unnecessary. Also i am one of those people that gets an instant sinus headache at the first whiff of strong scents- candles, air fresheners, potpourri, lotions, body sprays. AX deodorant is the worst!! I don't use air fresheners in my own house so i would not bring them on vacation.
