Do you bring a lime green mickey head?

I picked some of them up at Home Depot tonight. DD and I are going to decorate them this weekend. I grabbed some of the other colors too, mostly for craft projects or scrap booking. I just couldn't pass up the Prince Charming Purple. I wonder where this idea started - and why the lime (alien) green.

Also, if you have any clear contact paper - the kind some people line shelves with, you can use that to laminate them. You can purchase this at Wal-Mart in the isle with the other shelf liners. I actually keep a roll of it around the house because it is fairly inexpensive and we use it all the time to laminate art projects.

 Neat idea!!! I am paint shopping for our master bathroom so I can stop by Home Depot to check their paints out too!! :goodvibes Lowes or Menards also carries Disney paint cant remember which right now but last year we bought a Disney Princess Purple heck I dont even remember the official name lol but DD picked it from the Disney selection =)

Ok, so I got tons of samples and came up for a clever back to two of them here are my ideas. In the first photo I plan on using the yellow from the second photo as his buttons on the pants. These will be the reverse side of the green. My Question I ask is, how to seal them and protect them from water, or rain? I Tried self laminating from 3m but that didn't work too well.

I used self-laminate myself and it seemed to work alright. I don't think it was 3M though; it was whatever brand Staples had in the store. If that doesn't work, I think Kinko's or even Staples/Office Depot will laminate it for you using their machine. Very cute ideas!!!!

When I made our LGMH I 'laminated' them with clear contact paper. It is VERY secure and cheap. When I worked in a Deli, we'd cover all the signage with that stuff. It is very sturdy. I punched a hole in them and I attached a metal clip to it that I got at a craft store. I have one on my lanyard and one on the back of my hat. I didn't spot any last July, but this next July, I am going to look more!!

I really like your Mickey, Kristin, it is so cute.
I don't utilize one because I don't want anyone to possibly say, OMG! It is that weirdo zombie mini huna men girl....quick run in the opposite direction, even though it is against the rules... :faint: No, really.

~~ I love you Phil, and will forever miss you! ~~

Just curious...is The Home Depot okay with this? I am pretty sure those are there for people actually interested in using that paint color to paint something & purchase the paint from HD? I don't know. My DH works in mgmt for Home Depot, I will ask him what he thinks, maybe they don't mind.

My Home Depot was fine with it. I asked if I could take a couple, they said to take a bunch. The guy seemed to like the idea of them running around Disneyland. I didn't see one the whole time I was there, btw.

Our Home Depot no longer carries the Disney paints so no more Mickey heads :headache:

On page 3 of this thread, post #45, I posted a sheet of lime green Mickey Heads. This sheet was created by a DIS'er for me when I could not find LGMH at my local big box store.

The sheet of Lime Green Mickey Heads, That you can Print, just right click on the LGMH, then click Save As, then click Save. The sheet will be saved in your "Pictures" on your computer. Then click Start and go to Pictures, click open, find the sheet of LGMH you can now print, or you can open the LGMH in Paint and change the color, and put your name on them, or whatever creative ideas you have, then Save and Print!!! Any time/s, where, and when you want as many times as you want, anytime you want LGMH!!!!!

Yeah you can do that. To me they looked disproportional to the samples I picked up but it is up to the person.
