Do you bother unpacking everything when you go on vacation?

Unless its a very short stay of 2/3 days, and then I would hang up a few things, everything gets removed from my case. I do keep a few non essential items unpacked. I hate living out of a case/travel bag, I have to make myself at home for my stay!

..time to go do some real work now and stop procrastinating!!!

I don't unpack. I guess I just don't feel comfortable enough in hotel rooms to spread my stuff everywhere. I like it all in one place.

I will put my shampoo/cond in the bathroom, and face soap and deodorant on the sink.

Nope. I'm too lazy, and I like everything kept in the same place so things don't get misplaced.

I unpack. I like to put just about everything in drawers and closets and then stow away the luggage. It seems easier to find stuff if it's hung or in drawers but then my packing isn't always that neat. ;)

I unpack everything. I find it makes things flow so much easier. That way we know where everything is - no rummaging through suitcases looking for things.

The only things I unpack completely are my bathroom things (shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc.)
My clothing stays in my bag until I need it. I am paranoid that I'm going to forget to bring something home with me, so I like to keep it in the bag unless I need to take it out.

If it's for more than one night, I unpack everything. Actually, I do that as soon as we get into the room so that I don't have to deal with it late at night when I return to the room. DH and the kids do the same thing.

I usually just work out of my suitcase when I am on vacation. My bath items I may take out and leave out, but other than that, not really.

I always unpack everything. It is so much easier to keep the room neat and clean. Plus, things don't get as wrinkled.

i am unpacked within minutes of hitting the hotel room. I do not feel settled until all my stuff is out and luggage is away

See, unpacking causes a problem for me.

My hubby is a huge, I need everything I own type of packer. And he can't stand to leave his stuff in the suitcase because then he can't find anything (duh -- because he brought so much stuff), so by the time as I unpack his crap, that leaves very little room for me and my two sons. So, I'll unpack part of the kids stuff until there's no more room, and my stuff has to stay in the suitcase.

I told DH that he's worse than any woman I know.

For short stays the clothes stay... in the suitcase. But when we are staying 6 nights or so... it just makes it more fun to realy move in.

Besides hanging up some shirts I live out of the suitcase.
It makes it easier to pack up at the end of the trip and less chance of forgetting something.

DH unpacks everything. DD and I live out of our suitcases. Don't know why but I guess I am just too lazy on vacation to unpack. I do unpack my toiletries but that's it.

I also unpack everything as soon as we get in the room. I always bring tissue paper to line the draws.

We unpack everything when we arrive, and then put the suitcase open on the floor of the closet or under the bathroom sink for the dirties. As each dirty piece is taken off, back in the suitcase it goes (folded!) That way we are packed to go home with very little effort.

I take out all of the toiletries, but leave everything else in the suitcase. I do put the clothes out that we are wearing the next day.

Not if I can help it only because I cant stand to put my clothes in drawers I haven't cleaned out and disinfected first.

First thing I do in hotel room -- everything, including inside of drawers, gets a once over with clorox wipes.

If I am traveling alone (on business) -- no I don't unpack.

If we are on vacation, yes, I unpack. DH and DS are pigs and I hate them rummaging through suitcases.

We put dirties in the empty suitcases as well.
