I love it and even though I really like the breakfast convenience in the mornings and the friendly hellos from the CMs when you get off the elevators, the real perk for me is the pre-planning department. I love not having to get on the phones in the mornings and book ressies. I also like having special gifts purchased ahead of time and have them waiting in the room and I really love that they know us well enough now that they always put Goldfish crackers in our room because they know it's my six year old's favorite snack. Can't beat that kind of service. It's true. It's not about the amount of money you save on food, etc., it's about service. It's hard to put a dollar amount on that.

We have concierge at the BWI GF WL BC and the Poly
we love it and even though we POP our last 5 stays have all been concierge
I love having the snacks and drinks
Also the lounges are nice to sit and relax in

I voted for Yes - we love it and won't book any other way because my family and I think that in the end the services they offer make our time at WDW a lot more relaxing. We always have stayed on the Atrium Club floor at the Contemporary and this coming December we are trying the King Kamehameha Club at the Polynesian.

After receiving a free up grade on 2 of my girls only trips, it is the only way I stay now!! I go in the Srping with friends and then again later in the year with my husband. We always stay BWI club level. The cast is the best on prpoerty as far a consistence in guest servicing. I have stayed at every CL except for WL and love the BWI. It is worth every penny to me. My kids all laugh now and wonder why we never stayed there while they were growing up!!!

We book it when we travel as a family group for two reasons. One, if we have four or five in a room, it helps if some can get dressed and go to the lounge for coffee, newspaper, etc. while others are getting dressed. It's kind of like extra space. Second, we like the food convenience. If we're a family of 10, we're going to spend $100 on breakfast anyway. With teens, the snacks help keep them filled and the appetizers, desserts, wine, beer, etc. are great. With four or five in a room, the extra cost makes sense for us.

If it's just DH and me, we like the one-bedroom villas at the DVC resorts, so we don't bother with concierge.

Although many say they book for the personalized help, I can make my own ADR's. I book it for the food.

I voted Other, because for me, I have stayed once, but don't need to do it that way each time. I agree with those who say that it's not worth the extra bucks. Perhaps 10 years ago, it was what it should be, but there are now seem to be more complaints about service. My main enjoyment is the lounge, which I find very convenient, as we spend some days at the resort as opposed to the parks.

We always stay in a CL room on our trips. We also stay in regular rooms on those trips as well. I love to check out new resorts and not all of them have CL. I don't think I would do a WDW trip where we weren't staying in a CL room at least part of the time.

This is just my opinion but I think a lot of the complaints have to the with the IPO Cast Members, who make all you're ADR's and etc before you arrive and others have been reporting problems with them and not with the Cast Members who work on the at the Resorts on the Club Level floors and buildings. I just think if people have a bad experience with the IPO they might be expecting even more trouble when they are in WDW and the truth is the Cast Members from the IPO and the Cast Members who work Club Level floors and buildings are different and have nothing to do with each other. So if people make requests with the IPO and the Cast Members at the Resorts don't get them, it's the fault of the IPO.

We have stayed at the Contemporary and Polynesian concierge level several times. Since the prices have gotten higher, we don't feel that we can justify staying on that level anymore. It is just not worth it to us anymore.

My family only uses the hotel room in WDW to sleep and shower, so I can't see us ever booking concierge level. No point paying for sucking up and extra perks if you aren't there to enjoy it, kwim? Dh and I will splurge on a room if we're taking a romantic weekend away (without dd), but those trips are never to WDW. Usually it's a jacuzzi room in a historic bed and breakfast -someplace with really sumptuous rooms and lots of personalized service (sucking up). We don't mind paying extra for a room when it's just the two of us b/c we know we'll be spending lots of time in the room.

I don't know if this is normal or not but I'll be staying Concierge on my very first onsite stay. When I first heard about this level of AKL from the CRO, I booked this level because of the two safaris I couldn't have done if were staying at another level. The food and the service were an extra bonus to me. I I have however been very satisfied with the level of service as far as booking and questions being answered. I did however book a fireworks time reservation myself because they were getting so filled up that I didn't want to risk losing it.

We stayed Poly Con our first trip when I got a "code", I think it was like 40% discount. So, instead of saving the money I upgraded our room to concierge and still came out ahead. It was very nice, and they did get us an ADR for Cinderella's Castle for breakfast. But, for over $100 extra/night, now we just order room service for breakfast and buy cold water in the parks instead of taking it from the lounge and carrying it around all day.

All that being said, if I could get a good code again, it may be worth it, if it wasn't really any "extra" money (due to a code).

Happy planning!:flower3:

We too are booked CL for our first trip to WDW. We will be staying at AKL, and the fact that we are CL may save our trip, since it doesn't seem too many of the CL guests are being asked to move, and we are after the 9-1 date anyway. I have had excellent luck with the IPO people, and can't wait to experience the whole CL thing for myself. They have been very good about all my weird little questions and requests. I may never go any way but CL again!

PS- I didn't vote, since I don't really have experience, but if it is good, it will be "never go without it!":rotfl:

We've gotten great code deals that have enables us to stay in the CLs at WL, Poly and a couple times at AKL. Most recently, it was AKL in early Dec 2005. The parks didn't seem all that crowded but the CL certainly was! There were not enough tables for people to eat breakfast at and they wouldn't provide trays to take food back to your room to eat so you had to either stand or sit on the floor. That was not such a great way to start our day. They messed up a couple of our ADRs but were able to get us a breakfast seating at CRT at a late date.

DD and DS love the gummy bear/gummy worms they have in the lounge, although now that DD has braces, this isn't such a big perk :rolleyes1 DH loves the late night offerings and I'll admit to being a fan of the evening wine offerings.

I'd love to try the Innkeeper's Club at BWI someday but are perfectly happy to stay in a regular room.

I didnt vote.....only due to I have not experienced it ...yet!
So looking forward to our stay at the YC.....So far the IPO has been great finalizing ADR's, assisting with items I want for our room upon arrival etc...arranged ME...
I am looking forward to the lounge...especially with a little one.

Momof2DisneyKids....I am so, so sorry to hear you werent totally delighted with WL CL:( I know others have loved it...well you know, I just had bad luck with their IPO so thats why I changed. Hope you guys still had a great time:)

DB'03  We still love WL...just disappointed about a few things with IPO. My kids loved the lounge area, esp the little table w/the flat screen showing cartoons, and since the lounge had the gummy bears, that's all my ds cared about. My dd was more into the desserts, like her mama! :rotfl: We had breakfast ressies each morning, so we didn't do breakfast in the lounge....maybe if we had used the CL services more while we were up there, I might feel like it was more 'worth it'.
I'm glad YC IPO is working out better for you!! Hope you have a great trip!!! :yay:
