Nope. When you're dead, you're dead.
My great uncles had lots of ghost stories about the old apartment building where they lived, but they were loons.
What's the difference between a poltergeist and a ghost??

One will suck you into a TV, the other will "assist" you on the pottery wheel.![]()

another vote for the "when you're dead, you're dead" side.
if ghosts are supposed to be the 'spirt/energy' of the departed, why do they wear clothes? Does my shirt have it's own spirit that will carry on after it ceases to be? If so, perhaps all the clothes that have 'died/decomposed' over the centuries actually end up in some sort of 'ghost resale shop' for the dead to attire themselves accordingly![]()
I've actually had to take a step back at times because of a case that has gotten to be too much. This question popped into my head tonight when I think of dd and how she talks about having talked to her grandfather and great grandmother and the conversations they've had. They both passed away shortly before dd was born.
I also remember dh and his sister talking at the kitchen table years ago when their brother passed away. They both had a "dream" where there brother came to them and said the exact same thing to both.
Dmil, dsil, and dh have all stated that they have had "visits" and eerie encounters... I have not. Dh is terrified of the movie Poltergeist and to this day refuse to watch it.
So I'm curious, do you believe in ghosts? Do you have a ghost story to share?
I once smelled a strong rose scent at a place where a ghost was said to wear a rose perfume. I never could find the source (no rose bushes or flowers of any kind or women wearing perfume or air fresheners and so on) but I don't see why a ghost would continually smell a certain way either. But assuming that I'm not delusional, it was definitely there.Yeah, and another thing...why do people think "smells" (favorite perfume worn by deceased etc) would still be around? I can't get my favorite to last an entire evening! People frequently tell how a particular scent was present when they had an "encounter". That makes no sense to me AT ALL.

I have had far too many experiences, starting at a VERY young age, to not believe.
2 years ago, I became a paranormal investigator. I have been on numerous investigations, some with much activity, some with no activity whatsoever. I have spent countless hours pouring over evidence and helped to debunk quite a bit and then there are the times that there is no other explanation for it. I can tell you, some of the things I have witnessed and experienced would make the most skeptical people out there believersI've actually had to take a step back at times because of a case that has gotten to be too much.
