Like for instance if your foot itches its supposed to mean you will walk on new ground or if the palm of your hand itches that you will get money from an unknown source but you can't itch it because that means it won't come to you. Or if the other palm itches that means that you will loose money i wonder if its true becasue my foot has really been itching as well as my palm and thats what i was told.

Not superstitious at all, so no, I don't believe any of that. That said, I always heard that if your right hand itched, you were going to meet someone and if your left hand itched, you were going to get money. Never heard anything about losing money.

Ah, yes. How about the one if your nose itches, it means you're going to get into a fight w/ someone?

If your hand itches, a boy is thinking about you. If you drop a piece of silverware on the floor, company is coming.

Yup! Every time my nose itches, I warn people that I may get in to a fight that day. lol

I also know about the hand itching = money is coming

Broom falling = an unexpected visitor

Brand new shoes on the table = bad luck

I've also heard that when you move into a new home never take the broom out of your old home with you as it is bad luck youare supposed to throw it away.

My mom used to say "my nose itches...someone's coming with a hole in their britches"

Itchy feet is supposed to mean unexpected travel.

My mom believes in all of the above so I've heard most of it growing up. I sometimes say things out of habit but don't really believe in most of it. I always say "company's coming" if I drop silverware.

I'm not at all superstitious. I have too much reality to deal with! So, if your nose itches, you might have allergies. If you foot itches, you might need some foot powder. If you drop silverware, it's time to wash it again. If you put shoes on the table, it's time to clean the table. That's just how I see it!

LOL. This just goes to show you that these are unreliable -- where I grew up, if your nose itches it supposedly means that someone is thinking about you.

I always heard that if your ears are ringing, somebody is thinking/talking about you.

I always heard,
right palm itching = going to get money, but you have to scratch it on wood. Left palm itching means spending lots of money.

Nose itches=someone is talking about you
burnt bread= company is coming
cut your hair on the growing of the moon=hair will grow faster
see a cardinal w/o its mate= you're going to see someone you haven't seen in a long time.

These are great. Imagine how it all started. Maybe some kid wouldn't stop scratching at himself so his Mom told him he was getting money from an unexpected place but only if he didn't scratch :rotfl:

I've heard many of these growing up too. An itchy palm meant you were getting money from an unexpected source. An itchy nose was you were going to kiss a fool.
