Do you avoid paying DVC weekend points, or stay anyway?

We actually do both.

We normally stay at least 7 consecutive nights during our summer trips, and only 5 weekday nights during out Thanksgiving trips.

I understand the fact you are saving points, but I just can't see packing your bags 2 or three times and moving! With 3 kids and transportation issues it's not worth it to me...

We look at it as a weekly rental and are not interested in moving, paying cash for two nights.

We do change resorts on longer trips. But that is not to save weekend points. Rather it is because we want a non-DVC resort for part of our stay (generally on AP codes) like AKL or Poly. Other times it is because we were at a conference at WDW or DI and are then going to a DVC resort for the remainder of our trip.
