DW and I are counted among the group of Disney fans who have no love for Pooh (Tigger is ok in small doses ;) ). As a result, there is absolutely no way we would ever want to eat at the Crystal Palace because of all the Pooh characters. Who's with us?

(Nothing against Pooh lovers - it just ain't our thing. :thumbsup2 )

We dined at the CP last year for the first time because we just couldn't imagine dining with all of those little Pooh and Tigger fans on all of our trips before. We were very pleased with the food. I would not mind going back again one day, but I have to say that if we do, I want to do it just like we did last year, first thing in the morning before the place is wall to wall kids with germy food touched and coughed on by all of those little germ magnets.

Sorry if that sounds cruel, but it's just one of those sad little truths of dining at a buffets that cater to kids.

I love Pooh and that's one of the reasons we tried it years ago and it just happened that the food was FANTASTIC to boot! So its the best of both worlds for us - characters we love and really really great food!!

(But that's okay if you don't like Crystal Palace, there are more than enough places to eat at the World, there is something for everyone!)

I avoid Crystal Palace because it is a buffet. Me no likey buffets. :)

There should be an option 5: No, PUFFED FRENCH TOAST is reason enough!

PS you could always tell your waiter no characters please.

I would NEVER miss an opportunity to dine with Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore--love them all (and the puffed french toast). Now, Stitch on the other hand, I turn the other way the minute I see him/her/it.

I am not really a huge fan or CP or Pooh. We are are eating at CP because we need a place to eat at MK besides LTT (already eating there for MNSSHP) and don't want to do CRT (not worth 2 TS credits IMO) and nothing else is really jumping out at us. So we are stuck with Pooh and CP.

How about Harbour House?

If you are on the dining plan, The Plaza Restaurant is very good too.

Hard to justify using a table service credit on sandwiches, no matter how good they may or may not be... we can get sandwiches anywhere.

The food is great & that's what we go for.

At CP, you are not really overrun by the Pooh characters at all. It takes forever for all of them to get around...and if you don't want to see them, just wave them on by when they finally do get to your table.

DH thinks they have the best dinner buffet on property.

We happen to love Pooh and friends so we enjoy the characters at Crystal Palace. However, the breakfast is super yum at CP so we would probably dine here regardless of characters. For us, the characters are a bonus, they don't dictate where we dine, the food does.

My teens 13 & 16 think they are a little old for the "character meal thing", but they love to go out for breakfast & I figured it would be a great way to start our vacation. 1st full day at the parks 8:10 ADR.

DD-almost 15 absolutely insists on eating breakfast here every visit! It was the first character meal she ever went to, she's always loved the Pooh characters and they are always fun to interact with. Although Eeyore once scared the pants off of me (suddenly behind me).

DH goes for the food - which is really good. Our only not-as-good experience was a NYE dinner - place was super crowded and looong wait even with ADR, but the food was as good as it always is. We do tend to prefer breakfast, but dinners are also good.

My DH and I are going to the CP as part of our 25th wedding anniversary. He really doesn't know that much about this restaurant or that..but he just rolled his eyes....:rolleyes1 He knows who the disfreak is in our house! I love Tigger:lovestruc

:) My DH is a big Tigger fan we have a whole Christmas tree devoted to him, but that is another story. I remember it being super crowded and loud from all the activity. Great pics with characters but decided it would probably not be a first choice again since we have no children and are in our 40s ( not that I don't love the little guys). Of course we expected chaos. I think Liberty Tree is better for our adult only trips at MNSSHP and MVMCP since it is a more controlled atmosphere. Have a great time and Happy Anniversary.

Matter of opinion, I guess. I would rather have really good sandwiches then a lousy meal like at Boatwright's or H&V.
