We are going to parkhop to MK on the day we go to AK. I already have a Mine Train fast pas for MK that day for 6pm. I want to keep it! So if we get to AK at ropedrop do you think we will be ok w/o fastpasses? I would just schedule all of our FP for the day at MK (in the evening).

The rides I want to do at AK are:

Safari
Kali River Rapids
Dinosaur

No need for Everest. We would also like to see one show......Lion King if it is open or Nemo.

Thanks!

Becky

Go to the safari first!

Hi,

No one here can answer you with 100% certainty, and everyone tours differently. But when you are going could be a big factor in the answer to your question.

If you are going Christmas week, Easter week, July 4 week, or any other very busy week, the answer is FPs will be very helpful. If you are going on a Tuesday morning in September, you might not need them.

Again, just general thoughts, YMMV.

We are going on 6/6. On EASY WDW he says it is the most recommended park for the day.

The plan was head straight to Safari and then Kali.........

The order I'd do:

Safari
Dinosaur
Kali

Kali can thoroughly drench you head-to-toe!
And, make riding other attractions soppy and unpleasant until you dry out.

will probably start getting longer waits by 11 AM. You should be able to finish the safari and Dinosaur in plenty of time to get there by then. You could consider a lunch while drying out from the rapids ride.

I agree that you should do the Safari first. Kali's line gets really long during the warmest hours of the day, so don't postpone it too long, but at the same time, don't do it too early as you'll probably get soaked. Dinosaur/Everest are usually fine without FP.

Yes...do Kali LAST! (I booked it as our last FP+ of the day on our trip.) There is a really good chance you will be soaked.

(Oh, and I agree with all that you will be fine without FP+ if you arrive at RD.)
