Do Universal tickets expire?

I am taking my brother to Disney in 2013 and am surprising him next Christmas so I wanted to purchase his tickets on my next trip in April so I was wondering if tickets expire or if once you buy them they are good until they are first used regardless of when that may be?

The tickets won't expire until you've used them...it doesn't matter when you purchase tickets.
