do under 3's eat free?

Yes, under 3's eat free in the buffet restaurants that are in the parks and the hotels. :goodvibes

yes under 3's do it free. last week my 2yr old daughter ate free in the rainforest cafe, cafe mickey, billy bobs, plaza gardens and planet hollywood. plus as i was leaving the restaurants i asked them to provide milk for her bottle for when she goes to bed. all free.

They only eat free at buffets at table and counter service you have to either share your meal or buy one for them. I was charged in December for my daughter everywhere other than at the buffets.

Are you sure she ate free, did you check your receipt? We have always been charged for our daughters when they were under 3 in our 7 trips.

according to the wife, we were never charged for her meals. to be honest i dont even think we checked the reciepts.

we definatley werent charged for her food in cafe mickey, that was one reciept i did check as it was over 200 euros!! and she had the pasta and meatballs.

We're off next week so will ask in the restaurants, Ill probably get mixed replies of the various CMs though.

DD ate free in March at Cafe Mickey and Auberge de Cendrillion!
Cafe Mickey she had a child's menu main, desert and drink in a cafe Mickey keep sake cup.
In Aubere de Cendrillion she had a main and drink!

We didn't pay for either i still have the receipts in my travel folder! We did have to ask and always made sure we told CMs she was 1

We never ordered here any thing at counter services as I always had a pack lunch for her!

A couple of years ago when our youngest DD was 2 we were given free meals for her in the steakhouse in the village and in Auberge. In the silver spur steakhouse and walts we had to pay for her meals so I think it is a bit hit and miss by the sounds of it depending who your waiter is. :goodvibes

If we had to pay for DD I wouldn't order for her she doesn't eat enough especially in character meals where she is completely distracted!

i can confirm 100% that we didnt pay for a single meal for my 2yr old daughter last week. my wife has checked our receipts and can confirm that she was free all week.

maybe it does depend on your waiter at the time??

I second that. We didnt pay for DS for table or buffet service. I just asked for the under 3s menu. Never had to dispute it.

I'm sure I read somewhere on the Disney website that under 3's eat free in the table service and buffet restaurants.

Although time will tell I suppose....

We weren't charged for our boys when they were under 3 in buffet restaurants but we were in table service such as Cafe Mickey etc. :goodvibes

Same for me and I feel annoyed that we could have fed her for free at 15 euros a childs meal it works out expensive if you think we usually go for 5 days and have been on 7 trips with an under 3.

Knowing my lucky Ill still be charged next week to despite mentioning under 3s should eat free.

The official line always was under 3s ate free in buffet restaurants but you had to pay for anything ordered in table service restaurants which is why so many parents shared their meals with such little ones. Whether the policy has changed :confused3 or it's just some CMs using their initiative :thumbsup2 who knows.

I think if you go with the attitude that you'll expect to pay for anything ordered for them in a table service place ..... and then find it's not been charged it'll be a plus. :goodvibes

Having just been with an under 3, I can safely say that they eat for free in Buffet meals but unless they are sharing your food from your plate in a table service then you have to pay for a child meal for them.

If anyone got a free child meal in a TS restaurant then count yourself lucky.

This was our attitude - we always expected to pay for the meals we ordered for Evie at table service meals before she was 3 and were pleasantly surprised when we were told in steakhouse and Auberge that she could eat free. At the time she was quite a big eater so we didn't mind paying for the meals because we knew she would be hungry if she just shared ours. :goodvibes

We were told in Annettes and Cafe Mickey that our DS ate for free and that was only last November.
