Do they serve wine on the Magical Express? October 2011 --- We're back! TR started!

Congrats on your half marathon....:worship::worship::worship:

When we ordered our MNSSHP tickets last year we just picked them up when we arrived...I was terrified of forgetting them at home!:scared1:

Love the piggy bank idea.....

Woo Hoo on the half marathon! I have to pick up my fitness, I've put some poundage back on.

Nice job on another half marathon!
Makes me bummed that I can't run anymore because of foot troubles. But then again, that just means that I don't have to run :rotfl:

Me and the hubby will be in Disney the same time you are! October 20-28th! And we're from Richmond - that's what caught my eye about your trip report! We've never done Food and Wine so we're super excited!

Good job on competing in a half marathon and congrats on beating your previous time!! :cheer2:
It's pretty cool that you got to spend time with another DISer, as well. You had someone to compare Busch Gardens and Disney with. :rotfl:

Great job on the half marathon! I'm so envious of all the runners out there as I sooo am not one!

The kids and I are putting money aside in a piggy bank (ok, well not a piggy bank - it is the castle) for our trip.

Congratulations on another half marathon! Running always seems like such a productive activity. :yay:

As for the party tickets, we always do Will Call, too. One less thing to remember. And I may be remembering wrong, but don't they charge shipping if they mail them? Only a couple dollars, I suppose, but that could be going in the piggy bank.

Another vote for Will Call for your MNSSHP tickets. That's what we did last year and it worked out great!

Wow on doing a half marathon without much training and how cool that you beat your last time!
Yay on going to Busch Gardens and purchasing the PhotoPass CD! I love the Piggy Bank idea.

Thank you :goodvibes I am looking forward to doing another Disney race, those are a lot more fun!

Shannon, I love the piggy bank idea!

Congrats on doing another marathon and beating your previous time! :thumbsup2

Thanks :goodvibes we counted up the change in the bank yesterday just to see how we are doing...Tim is really good at making sure we are putting in $1 a day

I loved Busch Gardens in Williamsburg when I was a kid, I think we went there just as many times as we went to Disney World!

Yay for running another race, and beating your time! I don't know how you do it! :worship: I'm having such a hard time with the 2nd week of Couch to 5K...I really think I might have to repeat the 2nd week. :sad2:

When I went to MVMCP, the first year I ordered the tickets and had them mailed to us, and the whole time during the trip I was paranoid that I'd lose them, or forget them. The 2nd year I opted to pick them up at will call, which was so nice! You can get them at any will call at any park, whenever you want! As much as I want Mickey mail, I think when I order mine, I'll use will call again. It's just one less thing to forget, you know?

Love the piggy bank! Brandon and I are doing something similar with our spare change, when it gets close to our trip I'm going to cash it in for a gift card and use it at Food and Wine!

It's funny because before we moved to VA my parents took us to Williamsburg for a whole week of vacation at Busch Gardens, Water Country, etc.

I am terrible about doing my training runs, especially if I have to go by myself which is often since I am so slow, but I LOVE to do races, its a great feeling :thumbsup2

After reading your opinion of what to do with the tickets, I told Tim I was sold on will call...he laughed that it took someone on the Disboards to convince me instead of him being able to :lmao:

Congrats on your half marathon....:worship::worship::worship:

Thank you :goodvibes I am still tired from it :rotfl:

I was hoping to get more Mickey mail, but I think it helps to have one less thing to remember

Woo Hoo on the half marathon! I have to pick up my fitness, I've put some poundage back on.

I have been putting on some pounds myself...so hopefully this half marathon will be the start of getting back to eating healthier...its just so much more fun to eat unhealthy foods :rotfl:

Nice job on another half marathon!
Makes me bummed that I can't run anymore because of foot troubles. But then again, that just means that I don't have to run :rotfl:

I am hoping to hurry up and do a full marathon next year at Disney World...that way I can get it out of the way in case my joints hurt worse...I already have a stress fracture in my right big toe :headache: It is a weird addiction, but I don't mind a good excuse to stay home instead

Me and the hubby will be in Disney the same time you are! October 20-28th! And we're from Richmond - that's what caught my eye about your trip report! We've never done Food and Wine so we're super excited!

What a small world!!! I hope we bump into each other :goodvibes You are going to LOVE food and wine festival...so much fun and its a great time of year to go weather wise (according to my past experiences at least)

Good job on competing in a half marathon and congrats on beating your previous time!! :cheer2:

Thanks!! :goodvibes
It was a lot of fun to see my fellow DIS friend, especially after texting back and forth leading up to the race!

Great job on the half marathon! I'm so envious of all the runners out there as I sooo am not one!

The kids and I are putting money aside in a piggy bank (ok, well not a piggy bank - it is the castle) for our trip.

I always say that I fake being a runner :rotfl: I run/walk so I guess that kind of counts!!

Thanks :goodvibes its become a weird addiction, I guess better than some other options out there :rotfl:

You are so right, any extra dollars should be going in the bank, because that means more food at F&W festival for me!!

Another vote for Will Call for your MNSSHP tickets. That's what we did last year and it worked out great!

I was worried about having to wait in line to get the tickets, etc. but everyone seems to be on the side of Will Call...so thats what we are going to do
Inaugural bling is the best! Congrats on pushing through and beating your time! :cheer2:

It really is, isn't it?!? Thank you so much!! Hope that you are having fun with your running!! I think I am going to try and tackle the Disney World marathon in January

:scared1::scared1: I don't think I would want to tackle full training without a training buddy. Besides 20th anniversary medal isn't until 2013! Good luck if you decide to do it and keep us posted!

Yay! I can't wait until we can start signing up for the seminars and stuff too! Congrats on the half marathon as well - I've always wanted to do the Monument Ave 10k but never have! I can only run about 3 miles before dyyyying so I'd definitely have to train for something like that! Good luck!

I am doing a half marathon training team here in Richmond that will end with a race in November, so at least half my training will be with a team thank goodness :thumbsup2 But now I want 20th anniversary bling!!! I might need to do it 2 years :goodvibes

You really should do the 10k next year...there are people of all speeds from amazing runners to walkers...plus its such a crazy community event...I recommend just trying it :thumbsup2 I am excited to hear what you guys plan for your trip...where are you guys staying?

So we decided as our next theme night to watch...

2011-06-04_17-58-33_219.jpg

We picked this movie at this time, because Richmond was holding its annual Greek Festival, lots of fun :goodvibes

We went to the festival with Tim's mom and met up with my parents that were there hanging out already. We watched some of the kids dancing

We ate a ton of wonderful Greek food...Tim's mom helped me navigate through the different options so I could pick things that I like and it was sooooo good :goodvibes We also went shopping in the marketplace of vendors they had set up. Of course I spotted a hand carved item that looked identical to Allister (my cat) and Tim's mom bought it for me...she is beyond sweet!

We also spotted these vases and plates that screamed Hercules to me

After the festival we went home and watched the movie. Lets just say I have a problem with movies keeping my attention....there were times during this movie where we were playing scrabble on our phones instead of paying attention...but I think we both really liked the movie over all. Plus some of the music really got caught in my head :goodvibes

Also Tim had given me a couple vinylmations as part of my birthday present...one was a character from Hercules named Phil...I wasn't sure who he was until we watched the movie...so at least I know who this crazy looking guy is :rotfl:

Congrats on the half marathon! And I love how you incorporated the Greek festival with your movie night!

My DF loves Hercules, he searched high and low for a Hades pin to trade during our last trip. I, however, agree with you and would have to play Scarbble during the film. :rotfl:

The Greek festival sounds like a lot of fun. It was cool that you got to enjoy it with both of you guy's family.

Love how you took your new movie and made it work with the Greek Festival!

Happy Birthday (eitehr early or late :confused3).

Aww, I love Hercules! Megara is one of my favorite Disney characters. And I love the music from the movie.

The Greek festival looked like a lot of fun- nice job working your theme night around that!

I loved that movie! Meg is one of my fav's...I love her attitude!

Did I miss your birthday?? If so......HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Hercules is another of the movies I haven't seen yet, but definitely need to. A lot of people seem to really like it, I just haven't ever gotten around to watching it. I like the Greek theme for the day. Looks like it was probably a lot of fun going to the festival and eating some good food before relaxing and watching a movie.:thumbsup2
