Do they sell cases or gallons of water in the gift shop at the resort?

We are BIG water drinkers in our family. We like to have plenty of water in our room & we take it to the park. Disney bottled water must have flakes of 14K gold in it because they charge a fortune for it! :crazy2:

Cases of water would be best - that way we can take the water with us to the parks.....but gallons would be better than nothing. I don't really want to do a garden grocer delivery because 2 cases of water would be all we order - I am not sure what the delivery fee is? I would rather buy the water at the resort if I can get it in bulk.

We are staying business class at CSR - but I understand that they do not provide bottles of water...

You can have a service like Garden Grocers($40 minimum) deliver a case or 2 of water to your resort. Others have picked up cases of water at the Hess station close to DTD Westside. The problem with Hess is, if you are going by bus, that's a lot to carry clear back to your room. People have posted that they've shipped water, but some resorts (CSR included) charge a fee for that. :)

I didn't see any cases of water at any gift shops or little store areas. You could always order a case of water from Garden Grocer or another place like that. That is our plan!

The Poly sells cases of water :rotfl2: The price was not listed so I asked just curiosity and the CM said $16. Even the CMs were like OMG. My last trip I had water delivered from Staples to the resort. Just sign up for a Staples shopper card, you can do it online and you get free delivery. The water is $5.99 for a case of 32 so a good value. I highly recommend this method.

That is SUCH a good idea!! :thumbsup2

I hope Staples doesn't catch on to that! ;) That is definitely the way to go. I'm going to remember this for my May trip. Thanks! :thumbsup2

We have bought gallons of spring water from the gift shops at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Boardwalk, Contemporary, Pop Century, and Port Orleans Riverside. I think it cost $2.79 a gallon.

We went with the gallons too, with reusable stainless steel water bottles for the parks and room. We bought them at the CR, and they were around 3 bucks per gallon.

Actually, this is incorrect.
Many hotel food courts sell gallons of water. It is usually the distilled water variety as WDW is aware of the significant need of this by guests who use CPAP machines at night. Many places you may have to ask for it, but just because you don't see it doesn't mean they don't have it for sale. :)

And I have DEFINITELY seen cases of water for sale at AoA's food court. It was rather pricey in caparison to regular store prices but definitely cheaper than buying it bottle by bottle.

Yes, CSR charges a pkg delivery fee but that is because they are a convention hotel and they subcontract that part out. They are the only Disney owned hotel that charges. Not sure about SOG, Swan or Dolphin, but they are not Disney owned.

HTH Op!!

Actually, all the Disney convention resorts charge; GF, CR, and BC/YC.

Okay well I may have misspoke about BC/YC....No first hand experiences there. But I do know for fact not every pkg is charged for at CR. My DD worked there and my DS has received pkgs there and she was not charged. Same with GF, I am aware first hand of pkgs not being charged for. I have not heard of anyone being charged at those two. :)

!

I stand corrected. My information came from CMs at CSR and CR when I asked about this exact same topic....

The last two times I went, I ordered water from staples and had it delivered, and then I left what was left over for the staff and they thanked us. That was at SOG. It arrived three days before us and the staff just held it for us.

Can anyone explain about the surcharge at CSR, I usually order and send dog food ahead of time so I don't have to bring I on the plane, we are new to CSR and was not aware of a surcharge.

Since CSR is a conference hotel it is my understanding that their package delivery service (because the volume is so much heavier at a conference ctr) is contracted out (not exactly sure in what way) but because of this there is a delivery charge applied to any and all pkgs that arrive at that hotel whether the guests are staying there as a part of a convention or not. This is my understanding. Not sure of the actual charge but it was more than a dollar or two....for each package. My suggestion would be to call the hotel and talk to them. Problem is you don't really get the hotel, you get a call center. HOPEFULLY, they will be able to give you accurate information. ;)

I just ask for a cup of water at any QS location if I'm near one. I also carry a refillable water bottle and fill it up at fountains, etc.
